Well that sounds about right, with what we're waiting on, some of us ordered in June /July /August and still waiting, myself being August, with a est build week 10! So perhaps I could see it as soon as mid April, if I'm lucky!!

Anyone had a update on the status of their car?
Nope - complete radio silence despite regular chasing; tried Cupra and Seat customer care, both UK and International - no dice. Graphene Grey VZ3 300 on order since September 4th - projected delivery Jan/Feb; no provisional build week at this time...

Order since August 11th, Leon 310 ST. Still no information, I wrote directly to Cupra but they just replied to me with a generic answer - missing parts(semiconductors). The planned delivery was the end of March but I think I need to be prepared for 1 year waiting time.

So annoying! I contacted Cupra and they couldn’t give any answers what so ever. I’m glad I found this forum, we’ll keep each other informed

Wow surprised, pretty much the same day I ordered (regular Seat Leon ST FR) have an est build week 10, so delivery mid April at the moment, dont know how set in stone or not the est build week is though, until its actually confirmed. Hopefully you'll hear something soon!

I need you guys' opinions on this

As are many people on here, I managed to get hold of ZenAuto with whom I ordered my car and found out that my car has also been delayed with them telling me it "might" arrive late July-August. My car was part of a batch of cancelled orders from back in Sept-Oct 2021 and i managed to secure a deal for £3 down, 36 months with 15k p/a miles @ £297 p/m, which I think is a cracking price in this market. I initially asked my order to be pushed back voluntarily to March 2022 as it would be beneficial for me to get a cheaper insurance rate (as I'm a 20 yr old young driver) however having it being pushed back even more isn't what I had planned (as have most of us).

The question is what to do now? I have been offered by ZenAuto a full refund, a informal temp lease with one of their in-stock cars or a lease transfer to a stock or pipeline car they have. It hasn't helped my decision that energy rates are going up, so no Octopus 5p per Kwh tariff for me and I'm seeing a lot of issues and problems being posted on here and other Cupra/Seat forums and groups about this generation of Leon, obviously no car is perfect, but I don't fancy waiting a year to get my car, only for it to break 2 months in and have it sit in the garage for months again.

I like the car and I want to enjoy it, but the delays, issues and fueling costs are slowly starting to build up which is making me reconsider my choice, hence why I would like some opinions on what you guys think I should do. I would really refer to replace my current tired Golf 5 1.6 which just lacks any power and i know I will have some expensive bills to do if I want to keep it for too long, so should I take one of Zen's 2 options or do I refund and find something on the classifieds?

Any answers will be appreciated :)
Dave

I can't offer any answers I'm afraid but I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I ordered from that same batch of Zen orders in September (which should've been delivered at the end of October!) and it has been pushed further and further back. They should've been ringing me today with an update.. I've heard nothing yet but I'm presuming I'll get the same news as you which is really not good. Like you've said, it was a cracking deal with nothing else currently coming close to that price but as mentioned earlier in this thread, if you're on a standard tariff, with the new price cap, it's actually going to cost more to charge than fill with petrol especially with the reduced range in winter. (n) I was really looking forward to getting the hybrid and wanted to get the equity out of my current car with the used prices being so high atm but now seriously considering just sticking with my mk3 FR.

The issues to do with the car, 90 percent of them are to do with them being early build cars. I had similar issues on my golf mk8 but the dealer have fixed everything and i have no issues now. VW group will know about the issues and the new cars will have the fixes implemented.

My golf had these issues
  • Rear interior lights randomly turning on (dealer replaced this) - FIXED
  • Travel assist would go mental sometimes (dealer did an update, didnt fix)
  • Travel assist was always in an error state (dealer replaced the steering wheel) - FIXED (No issues with travel assist now)
  • Wipers hitting a pillar (dealer adjusted wiped arm) - FIXED
  • Any infotainment issues have been fixed with software updates.

Yep I ordered a Cupra Leon VZ2 245 from LO in October, but sadly no build date yet either. I am now thinking it probably will be September before I see it, a shame really.

Seems a bit odd, I have a Seat Leon ST FR and I ordered around first week of August, I have an estimated build week of 10, so hopefully it doesn't change, not sure if there's a priority over dealer/broker, seat/Cupra or hybrid/petrol??
