Front Tweeter Crackling

Hi guys,

Noticed recently that the front passenger Tweeter has started crackling a little. Most noticable whilst using DAB.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Knowing very little about the speaker setup and wiring, can anyone recommend things for me to check?

Would love to avoid taking it to the dealership if I dont need to.

I bought a replacement tweeter and plugged that in, made the same crackling. Usually only crackles when you play through Bluetooth and turn up phone volume AND head unit volume

Did you remove the door card? Took mine off to stop a rattle and now I've the same problem as you. You ever get it sorted?

No, I took off the A pillar cover which was easy enough. Replacing the tweeter didn’t really fix the issue

I soundproofed my passenger door to stop a rattle. Found when I put the card back on that the tweeter is crackling at high volumes but if I put my finger on it and apply a little force it stops. Going to swap it with the driver side to see if its still cracking before replacing it. Sorry to hear it didn't fix it. Have you tried anything else? Is it potentially a wiring issue? When you removed the tweeter what was behind it? Sorry for so many Qs I just don't have time to take it off till the weekend and want to know what to expect

It’s not a rattle more a a screech at high volume!
