Update on my order for Cupra Leon 300 VZ3
  • Leasing Options order placed on 29th June with suggested delivery mid/late Oct
  • On 3rd Sept heard that car due for delivery around 11th Oct, but only an approximate date
  • On 12th Nov new date of 17th Dec, still only approximate
  • It's on a boat on 29th Nov
  • Contract hire documents received for my signature on 7th Dec
  • Now have to wait for cooling off period +14 days
  • ETA 23rd Dec (will I get it before Xmas?)
Delivered today in the rain/sleet so not able to properly inspect

Hey guys!
Ordered my new Cupra Leon VZ2 in October and was due for delivery Jan/Feb. However, the build slot was missed and I’m presuming the factor is closed until the first week of Jan.

Ordered through Leasing Options but they currently have no update on what’s going on.
Would be great to know if other people are in the same boat and if they’ve gotten any updates?

Ordered mine in August, I have been told by my dealership not to expect it before March.

I've now done just shy of 2,000 miles in my VZ2 e-Hybrid, having only had it 1.5 months. My lease contract is 15k a year, though.

Safe to say it's an excellent car, and I'm loving every bit of it. Also very happy I went for the black over the grey.

Over this time, I've started to get a clear picture of what the e-Hybrid is and how it functions as an everyday vehicle, so using the CUPRA Connect App, my overall miles to the gallon figure is 54.3 mpg, and what also becomes apparent, however, is the need for a cheap energy tariff to really get the benefits out of using the vehicle's electric function.

Because of the current situation regarding energy, it meant that the company I was originally with went bust (at 0.14p per kWh). As a result, I was moved to EDF which now charge 0.21p per kWh. Long story short, doing the maths my energy consumption using the battery mode, combined with the winter weather works out at roughly 60 mpg using the current fuel prices. Conversely say the battery was 'fuel', it works out to about 127p per litre, so realistically a 15p per litre saving. In my scenario, this works out ideal as you add that up over 1,250 miles per month then I'm roughly saving about £30 when you factor in normal engine usage combined.

Ideally, I wait until the opportunity for using Octopus Energy arises, probably during the Summer, so I can charge the car at night when the per kWh price is low to really make the benefit of the e-Hybrid part of the vehicle, which compounded by the increased range of the battery during warmer outside temperatures should help to recoup the increased cost of running the vehicle during the winter.

My initial calculations had me saving close to £60 per month in fuel, which I'd put towards my insurance renewal (My annual insurance works out to £125 per month at the moment), again, doing 15k miles a year significantly costs me, but it isn't necessarily cost I'm totally worried about, I specifically chose a premium vehicle to enjoy all those miles, disregarding other ICE options, such as diesels.

Had my car delivered this morning. Very good looking car, good sound and feels lovely to drive. Infotainment is a bit of a mess around at the moment, messages popping up all the time and more than once. Need to work out why and stop it from happening. Something to do with a link to the cupra app on my phone. Anybody else getting the same?

Anyone's e-Hybrid starting more frequently in Hybrid mode without the option to start in E-Mode? Whenever I'm in the local area I don't want to use the engine at all, yet I'm seeing more frequently in the past 2 weeks my car starts with the engine running, it's not as if it's cold outside and this even happens if I've just used the car to go to the shops in E-Mode on the outbound journey, then starts in Hybrid mode for the return 15 minutes later.

Still no build date for me. Ordered through leasing options end of July. Keep getting the bi-weekly email from them "At this time unfortunately there is still no build date allocated". Getting annoying now :(

You'll be lucky, us peeps that have ordered in August or before!! Wait your turn!

Or having a build week then it getting removed, now that's frustrating!

Think there's a fair few from August!! It's painful!! Was told Feb /March, my current lease was up feb/March, but have had to extend it till April time.

Hoping we'll hear something by the end of this month, think I've watched all the YouTube videos on Seat/Cupra Leon's!!
