When did you order, when is it arriving?

Apologies in advance to those who've been waiting months for delivery but hopefully this offers a slim ray of hope to some.

eHybrid 204 V2 in Magnetic tech grey with petrol blue interior, ordered on 01/10/21 as a lease through Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.

Was initially told delivery would be Feb but was fully expecting it to be April or May due to the ongoing supply issues, no updates at all from NVC for 8 weeks until totally out of the blue I was assigned a vehicle reg number at the end of last month - gobsmacked doesn't even come close. Can only assume that NVC had a bulk order in prior to me ordering and that somebody with the same spec cancelled their order.

Could have taken delivery on 14/12 earliest but the lease on my current car doesn't end until mid-Jan, with the last payment only due later this week, plus I didn't really want to stump up a deposit immediately after Xmas. Settled on delivery on 07/01, Covid willing.

Half expecting it to turn up looking like the Lambo Countach in the Wolf of Wall Street

Fair play to you. Some of us have our tales of woe but most won’t begrudge others their good fortune. Hope you enjoy the car as much as I love mine.

Must be something about that spec.Maybe dealers and lease companies were pushed to pre order it. I wanted the VZ2 and was told a long wait, then V2 in that colour and engine combo was 'in stock' and I've seen another since.

We ordered from the main dealer in Newquay Cornwall on the 5th of May.

we have just been given our build date of week 7 2022, the dealer said it should be around 5 weeks after that so we're looking at week 12 fingers crossed!

That's a shockingly lengthy wait, but sadly not unique to members of this furum.

Seems to be a trend that they do have model build cycles. Do you think that is a thing? Working on V1 for x period, then V2 and so on?

Seems to be loads of V2's currently being output with VZ2's scheduled for Jan - Mar from responses on here?

Might be me reading too much into things but I guess would make some sort of logical sense from a manufacturing point of view.

I imagine the lower spec models use less semi-conductors, and also if they are being used for company cars there is more demand for them. I think they were using these models out before getting onto the VZ / 310 models.

My build date was the last week in September and I’m only getting it now ?
How's that work ,
4 months from getting a build date
It doesn't make sense how it can take that long to build and ship a car out

My build date was 9th August and I picked the car up on 3rd December. The build process was paused for my car, because of the semiconductor shortage. It was sat idle at the factory for 9 weeks 'awaiting parts'. I think they've stopped doing this now and are only commencing production of a vehicle once they know there are enough semiconductors. Waiting times once build has commenced shouldn't be so long now.

I believe this is the case as mine went into production on the 22nd November and is now in transit to the UK... never once went to "awaiting parts"

Heard today that my VZ2 (ordered 14/06/21) has now got a build week of 5/22, so should not expect it earlier than March. Ho-hum.

I ordered my VZ2 310 pretty much the same day as you, and I’ve been told my car has been built and in transit to the uk. There’s no logic to the order they seem to be building the cars

Have you had any further updates since "Transit to the UK"?

Aquarius Ace has already been and gone, but United Spirit arrived today.

I hope we are on one of those vehicle carriers, if not, it'll be a couple of weeks before they are back.
