Greetings from Greece. I ordered my 2.0 TSI 245 VZ DSG on 16th of December and the arrival period is four to five months.

Have you had any further updates since "Transit to the UK"?

Aquarius Ace has already been and gone, but United Spirit arrived today.

I hope we are on one of those vehicle carriers, if not, it'll be a couple of weeks before they are back.
I haven’t heard anything else so far, but haven’t asked the dealer either to be honest. Think I’ll wait until new year is out the way before I ask for an update.

How's that work ,
4 months from getting a build date
It doesn't make sense how it can take that long to build and ship a car out
Mate was sat there at build state 7 or whatever that is and waiting for parts mental but seems to be the rule rather than the exception?

Hope Griffin tax free were better than forces tax free cars for information and urgency seem to think I was just left to be frustrated and chinned off by them.

I was aware of the potential delays from the start. As it was, the original estimate from Griffin was five weeks out, but they kept me informed all the time when anything happened. They also answered any queries as quickly as possible. This isn't the first car I've bought through them and it probably won't be the last. I hope you have a better experience with whoever you're dealing with at the moment.

Hah, I ordered Leon on 2021 december 5th, wife was very optimistic - “6 months top and you’ll get it”. Now I’m not even sure I’ll get it on 2022 christmas heh.

I spoke to NVC who advised that the car is still at the port. I wonder how long it generally takes to get allocated a ship?

Looks like the 2 main cargo ships are currently in the UK, so I hope they get allocated on the next round trip!!

Not to get your hopes up unnecessarily, @MrBiggles87 but once the car leaves the factory there seems to be a black hole of misinformation. Your car may well be on one of the transporters around the UK.

Here's hoping anyway!

My VZ2 310 finally arrived today. 7 months after ordering. Didn’t help that it had to sit at the dealership for 3 weeks as they wouldn’t let me collect it so I had to wait for a delivery slot.

First impressions are great. Nice car to drive, comfortable, and a lot of fun in Cupra mode. Already getting people asking what make / model it is. Finding the infotainment system pretty easy to use too.

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting that your cars arrive soon too. 🤞🏻

It’s not DM Keith in Leeds by any chance is it? I don’t understand why I couldn’t go and collect, aside from them saying ‘covid’ and distancing / safety measures. The fella who delivered my car didn’t keep a distance from me when talking to me, didn’t wear a mask, didn’t wipe down the interior etc, which is all the things they said would happen. So seems it was just a bunch of rubbish and an excuse from the dealer. The exchange that happened outside my house could have happened outside the dealer. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So they just wanted to hang on to your so other peeps could pour their eyes over it. I'd still send a firm email describing the lack of care/control on handover mate.
