Absolutely blown away by my most recent journey, 3°C outside almost the whole way, 88 miles motorway at 70MPH on cruise in eco mode and the occasional flick into sports mode to overtake on the 34 mile country road stretch, and I still had 30% remaining with 8 miles to go! In which case I decided to switch to EV mode and run the rest down. But very pleased with these figures given the conditions and motorway driving (which isn’t always kind to PHEV’s)
Of course the regenerative braking at roundabouts is a joy, so useful and such a neat feature.
My only wish is flicking back on the shifter could put me into CUPRA mode instead of sport! Still unbelievable acceleration with the boost though, car’s breaking in quite nicely for someone who was a bit too eager and floored it early. (We’re at 625 miles on the clock already, 6 when delivered on the 24th November)

Just drove 75 miles sports on the motorway and ev mode in the city with some fast exits from the roundabouts with temps set to 23 with 3 passengers not bad similer as my old gtd.

This was in cupra mode the whole journey … eco mode is known to be less economical because it’s always in the wrong gear in my opinion

it won’t let me upload picture but basically it’s a 30 mile trip two thirds of which was motorway at 85 mph ish and then a roads and B roads where I wasn’t driving slowly and got 52mpg

Im getting 34MPG currently as im only doing local Urban Journeys in Hybrid, (mostly in the dark)but placing to Hybrid modem but the car always wants to put to Engine Mode ,think with heating and lights on takes its toll so probably making an educated guess its going to drain the battery in a hurry :)

Finally had the confirmation that my Cupra 300 VZ2 is due for delivery on the 16th. Can't wait for an early Christmas present! I'm very intrigued to see how it compares to my current Cupra 290.

Pictures to follow when it turns up. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get some side by side pictures on the day.

Is yours an estate or hatch? I have a VZ2 estate on order but no updates as of yet.

There seems to be a longer delay on Estate’s I’m not expecting mine till March, ordered in August. Still no build date

Definitely agree with you, the guy at Zen Auto said the same too. He thought it may have been due to the slightly higher emissions and companies trying to get the lower emission cars out at year end so they pay less in fines. His theory, not mine and no idea if there's any truth in it.

I was offered a hatch version of what I've ordered, it would've been delivered a month ago but unfortunately I want/need the estate.

That's good mpg irfy I'm always forgetting changing from diesel from the past 12 years onto petrol and thinking it's bad compared to my old 2 litre twin turbo diesal I had in the volvo at 48mpg lol.

Who have you ordered through, I ordered My Seat Leon Estate FR petrol so no hybrid, beginning of August, I've got a build week of 7, so delivery sometime in March I'm hoping, have had the build week for a couple of weeks now, I ordered through Seat main dealer.

Cupra Leon Estate Hybrid, in addition to the chip shortage there are also issues with steel.
Mine has also been ordered through a main Cupra Dealership

Does seem to be quite random and no real pattern, like cars ordered in Aug etc, I thought hybrids had a priority!??
