came last Friday (was due February 2022), weather was a bit ****.
A bit worried when the first thing the handover guy showed me was how to do a soft reset on the screen
a couple of initial issues with that but now I'm getting to know my way around it all it's fine.
Love it
Interested in why he showed you a soft reset on the screen ... is there reasons why that should be done?

it almost immediately froze :ROFLMAO:
hasn't since
ah ok .. not had any freezing (yet), although I do find the infotainment takes a while to warm up (as such). The radio and sat nav seems to come alive quickly, but the logging in of my primary user (therefore the personalized settings), the connection of the telephone and android auto seems to take a little while

I've had it "forget" the settings only to remember them next time. I think the infotainment system has many er.. 'joys' to come it's already done one update in the first week

You don't need to set up a user account to store your preferred settings; the car will remember them to your key. I deleted my account, did a factory reset to eliminate any memory of the account, reset all my preferences since when the system has been a lot more stable and responsive (but not completely bug-free).

ah ok .. as default it sets up a "guest" account .... are you saying, just use that one, and not to bother adding another? I thought you needed an account to use the cupra connect app from the phone?

Ok, so next question .. how do you store the preferences to the key? Looked through the manual, but could not spot

Delivery does seem to be random. My VZ3, matt blue, sunroof, tow bar and emergency pack was ordered in May, the build date was mid October and it arrived with me today. The dealer said that he was surprised that it made it here too.

I drove it all of 12 miles today to the bodyshop for a complete XPEL covering and ceramics on the wheels etc. Can;t wait to get it back.

I was told that ordering today would be a delivery in September. Hold your nerve, you may be surprised when these things show up !
How much does the XPEL coating cost? Have you had it done before? Worth it?

Does anyone know if some orders get prioritized depending on country/firm that orders the car?

Does seem somewhat logical that big players would get more production slots from Seat/Cupra?

Could also be an explanation why there even isn't a production week known for my VZ2 310 which was ordered in may.
Already lots of people which ordered it in june (also the 310) already have their car.

Rest assured, Matt Man, I order my 310 in June and have no idea of when it'll be delivered. And I've only seen 2 locally since I ordered.

Hi all,

(Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere)...

Does anyone know (roughly) how long it actually takes to build a Formentor? (V2 1.5TSi DSG)

Just reading about this Cupra Priority thing on the official website... car get's built in 21 days and can be tracked. What's happening here then for this to be guaranteed - as the chip shortage is still an issue.

Placed my order beginning of September... Was told April 2022 delivery. (Yeah right!).

Still no build date - then I get this email from Motorfinity (who I placed my order through for a decent Blue Light Discount)...

Good Afternoon,

Hope you’re keeping well! 😊

An email to advise we are yet to receive a confirmed build week from Marshall Seat due to the global shortage of semi-conductor chips. At this time, I cannot provide any forecasts/predications/ETA’s until we are given concrete information from the manufacturer. If Motorfinity could do anything to speed up the process, we would, however, SEAT have assured they are working extremely hard to ensure they expedite all factory orders for our customers.

Naturally, we are aware that not everybody is in the position to wait indefinitely for car, if you need to explore other options, please let us know however there is little UK stock due to supply shortages.

So basically I'm already being given the option to cancel the order (last line) before a build date has actually surfaced!!

Really doesn't make sense cancelling at this stage as it'll just be the same story elsewhere and with any other/alternative car marque I choose. So just wondering what the likelihood is of actually getting this in April when no build date is even in sight?

So really want this car; heart is set on it now; looks unlike anything else on the road just now. But how much longer!!??

Hey mate. Can't give you an answer but I ordered my VZ2 in June and have no build date. I'm not in a position where I need the car (got a motor which I'll sell when the Formentor arrives) so I'm trying to forget about it until I get an email telling me it's ready! The shortage of chips must end at some point - hopefully sooner rather than later!
