Well a little more encouragement today from leasing options, rather than the usual they have no idea what's happening, they are now expecting delivery to dealers on 13th December. We will see if this is the case as it's worrying reading all the delays at port etc.

With Leasing Options too.

Asked if I can just collect it from the Dealer when it's ready rather than wait for delivery.

Response below. I thought it would be quicker and would save them time if a customer wanted to collect it but hey ho

It depends if the dealer is offering collection around the time, I know December is a busy month for all and they just prefer to get them delivered as they don't have time to stop and sort a handover out so we'll need to check closer to the time.

I asked the same question and had the following response:

'Collection is an option, please note it will be from a compound and not a dealership, so there wouldn't be a handover im afraid.'

I initially got informed from leasing options at ordering that if I wanted to collect this wasn't a problem and the dealership prefer it and also put fuel in as saved on the transportation costs?? Dealer is DM Keith Leeds if anyone on here used.

I was initially told I could collect it no problem but it would be from Crewe. I sent an email earlier reminding them I want to collect and that's the reply i got. They seem very wishy washy.

Latest email from Leasing Options was un-expected news!

Hope you are well; Just to update you on the progress of your new vehicle. I have received an update from the dealer and your vehicle has now been built!! The ETA to the dealership is currently showing as 13/12/2021. This is only an approximate due date and it may change (we're hoping that this comes forwards) but there are delays at the EU ports at the moment. They are waiting for ships to fill before they depart; but due to the delays at factory; the ships are taking time to fill.

Ship will probably run aground and sink before it gets here :)

FORMENTOR 2.0 TSI 245 VZ1 ordered 1st week May.

Great news mate! Did they give you a build confirmation email beforehand? Or did you just receive your car has been built? Hoping for some good news soon!

No this email came out of the blue last night.
Great news! I had an email from the leasing company (UK Carline) yesterday, unfortunately no updates. Car still showing as "In transit from factory" which it has been since 15th October.

They still believe it's on track for an end of November delivery, but I'm getting less and less confident that's the case each day that passes!
