I just got new BMW and went through its setup. After doing it, I must complement Formentor. Digital dash in it, is awesome (I never use this word) and offering a lot of options, comparing to BMW where you can hardly change anything. I had to read manual, to make sure I'm not missing something, but I'm not, it's just very basic.

Another thing which I appreciate now in Formentor, is the mode button on the steering wheel. I don't have to look down and look for it, like in BMW.

Cupra Connect App is great too comparing to MyBMW. Of course, I won't pay for another year of subscription, but still, a lot of information showing there.

BMW is winning with buttons for air con and great navigation. There are no perfect cars.

Go to a wheel refurbished and lighten your bank savings. It’s a learning curve.

So today is goodbye to my VZ edition. I’ve come to realise that the only time I like the car is when I drive like an antisocial boy racer (which it excels at). The rest of the time it just pissed me off.
Sure it looks great, and is fast, but too much of the car is just rubbish: and by that I very much mean the laggy, unreliable, “which part won’t work today” Infotainment system.
It’s only thanks to lockdowns and working from home that I have been able to keep it for 10 months. Had I been using it every day it would have pissed me off months ago.
All in all a very disappointing car for £40k+

At the moment, nothing…figure that I don’t need 2 cars in the household as office is still closed and all work from home on zoom.
Long term I’ll get something but I’m not sure what….not feeling too inspired at present by the choices

Sorry to hear that. I had the same conclusion mate. I know it is heavily discussed on hear but jeez, you’d think they would have sorted everything on the earlier models by now.
Just for comparison I ended up getting another Formentor but a tamer V2, and TBF everything is working as it should. So if they can get it to work now ! Why not the earlier ones !!!

Just for comparison I ended up getting another Formentor but a tamer V2, and TBF everything is working as it should. So if they can get it to work now ! Why not the earlier ones !!!

My VZ3 is imminent. I’ll let you know how it is. Please let them have sorted all the problems, the dealership told me they are all fine now, they would though!

Lot of users on Facebook have mentioned about rejecting cars and getting full refund as people with software versions 1803 and 1804 are also facing issues with the screen.

No problems with mine, other than the overtaking issues in ACC - solved this easily with OBD11. 1803 delivered in March

Sorting out ACC with OBD was huge change. Car became drivable and not that annoying. I still get speaker bangs, but can live with it.

I had service visit scheduled for today, booked it one month ago, to make sure there are loan cars available. And what happened? I got text message that they don't have a loan car for me and I can rebook. Great. I made effort to come back from Europe yesterday, driving all day, to make sure I don't miss my appointment. Then today I was running around the house from early morning, moving cars and was going to re-program car settings with OBD, only to learn that I'm not taking my Formentor anywhere.

Service appointment was to make them try to fix software and get some basis for rejection, but I can't even to that. Looks like I have to accept that I'm stuck with this car and then maybe do early termination of PCH next year. Expensive mistake.

I know its a massive inconvenience. But if you are looking to reject the car, surely you can just document the fact you have attempted to book it in, then if and when it is booked they can't fix the issue, you can reject. If they say to much time has passed, you have the answer that you had an earlier date booked in but they cancelled on you.

Yes, I can use it as well. Also, car worked better at the beginning and then started to have software issue. Next appointment booked for 16th of Nov.

Just sell it while prices are still high. I got more than i owed for it and was happy to get shot of it. Troublesome heap of junk from day 1.
Just don’t know what to get to replace it yet but no rush

You can't sell car on PCH, it belongs to leasing company. Otherwise, I would do this months ago. If I manage to get rid of it, I won't be replacing it with anything. I would just use my other car for everything (roadster).

I had exactly the same thing with F G Barnes Nissan in Guildford recently. Had to sit and wait for 1hr30 instead, and they said “at least it saves you the hassle of returning the courtesy car” - cheeky bugger.
