I had an update on my build, well sort of. I ordered beginning of August, dealer has said he thinks it'll be towards the end of the year I get a build date (Seat Leon ST FR 130 with couple options)

I got an update today. My Cupra Leon - who knows but hubby's Arona is at the docks waiting to be sent to the dealer. I'm telling myself all good things come to those who wait 🙄🤣🙄

I pick up my 300 next week was just sorting insurance, I noticed though put the reg or that of other 300's and Liverpool Pool Victoria list it as a Cupra '4motion' and I know it's not 4wd, also the insurance seems too cheap its cheaper than my current car a 190bhp Audi A4 estate, though out of the Leon variants LV list it is the most expensive to insure for me. Have LV got it wrong as its not 4wd, anyone else with the same car did your insurance list it as Cupra 4motion?

Cheers

This is a known issue with the Leon and insuring it. Unfortunately from what I've read, lots of people have had to go to Admiral as they insure it correctly.

Sounds like there’s an issue with the vehicle make / model look up table that LV= are using in their product / premium calculation algorithm. If you’re currently insured with LV=, give them a call and they ought to be able to correctly process your vehicle change for you manually.

I had a quick look on Admiral does list it correctly there as 2WD 296, cost is pretty much the same as LV who I'm with, will give LV a bell and see what they say would rather stay with them so don't get charged for cancelling existing policy though its there error. The main thing that reduces the premium for me is adding my partner, she is 36, she had a claim last year and has 3 points and is a crap driver lol, adding her reduces my premium from circa £460 to £329, I'm squeaky clean max no claims no points and probably too old to be driving a Cupra lol.

In the end I had to switch to Admiral so thanks for the info grumpy321, I rang LV and they checked their master spreadsheet and the 2wd 296bhp is not listed so they did a special quote which came back 2 x the price of Admiral close to £ 700, it was also a lot more expensive than the 310bhp 4motion they do list, seemed to much hassle to sort so I got LV to waiver the cancellation fee as they don't list the vehicle and gone with Admiral at £344, bit of a bummer as I pay my insurance annually and wasn't due to mid next year.

Has anybody received their Leon yet? I was given a build date of September 6 and delivery date of October 18 and now they have taken away any sort of delivery date. The car is apparently built but awaiting the chip.

Apparently mine is at port waiting for a ship but until I see it on the pitch with plates on it I'm not holding my breath. Ordered 26 aug & was due in build not long after. VZ2 hybrid estate in Nevada White with no extras

You got a wee bit further than me, mine has been built since around September 6 but was taken off the line waiting on a chip. Never received anything other than that, status was still the same yesterday when I chased it again. Pretty pissed off with the whole process now. Mine is a VZ3 300

I have ordered the petrol VZ2 2.0 245bhp, basic colour no extras. Ordered with Leasing Options in June. Seems like most of us are in the same boat unless you got a hybrid. I see a lot of hybrids being listed on autotrader.

To order in September and get it in December seems pretty good compared to everything else. I would have been happy with that. Hope you get it when they say.

It was the pipe line order what ever that means so it might be the reason.

Nice! I’m jealous! If you are receiving yours soon and I ordered a month later maybe mine shouldn’t be too long. Fingers crossed.
