End Lease Deal Early

Every manufacturer pops out a few lemons
The way software works if you produce one lemon they are all lemons  ... until such time they are updated. It seems from reading that some dealers are not on top of updating the software in the assorted systems whilst Cupra / Seat itself in some instances reading above have just thrown the towel in.

The cars themselves are all built using new systems across a wider range of new control units. Golf 8 and the Leon 4 have similar issues. Suspect Skoda models do unless they were canny enough to hold back. Need to research those. Where just Mib3 has gone into the 2020- vehicles without the other major overhaul they just get the deficiencies of Mib3. Still happy days as the youngsters say .

Edit. Yep MQB Evo platform that includes:

MQB Evo (2019)

They are the ones to check for similar issues. On software VAG uses core code then gives it the brand's serial code 😉. Least on Mib. The hardware is the same / similar on the control unit. Cupra's get the bling, big discs, big engine and paint work etc.

Was the Spanish Seat board that suggested the customers were the beta testers now. Problem seems they changed too much at the same time. If they have got to correct software issues, then the dealers have got to rise to the occasion. This is where you can see from the posts some do, some don't. If they don't sort it out the customer gives up. Will be a lot of VAG cars going to the crushers or sold on with issues if they don't get fixed before they hit the second hand market.

Looking at another VZ2 or maybe a VZ3 but depends as I’m leasing and lease prices have increased.

Tempted to look at BMW M235i xDrive if I move away from brand.

Leasing prices have definitely gone up. VZ3 I ordered end of April has increased by£100 a month with a larger deposit also. I mentioned in previous thread, that I did a new quote the other day and the cost of the duration of the lease had increased by £5200. A huge mark up from the original prices offered.

Most definitely - they've skyrocketed here in Germany since I ordered mine.

@Tell if only the infotainment system was the major issue with mine. Paintwork, engine leaks, lights, electrical faults etc. etc.

Has anyone in this forum had any experience in ending a lease deal early. I basically want to get rid of my VZ2 Formentor and I was hoping others with experience can offer some advice.

I am 6 months into a 36 month deal, will I lose my upfront payments etc.?

Thanks.
I googled rejecting a lease car and came across this, although you may have gone over 6 months, could be worth a shout pursuing it not being fit for purpose?

If you car develops a fault after the first 30 days but within the first 6 months, then your dealer is allowed one opportunity to repair the car or provide a replacement. If the fault still isn’t resolved, you’re allowed to reject the car and receive a partial refund. Alternatively, you may decide to continue leasing the vehicle at a reduced monthly rate.

For those who are interested.

VW financial services have finally been in touch and need the car to go back to Seat for a TPI check (booked in on the 24th). Once this has been completed I have two options.

1) Terminate the contract and I will be getting the bulk of my deposit back.
2) Keep the car with a reduced monthly rental.

I need to wait and see if the latest software updates resolves the multiple issues i have experienced. To be honest though, I hate the car so i am more thank likely going to get rid of it.

Sorry to hear you've had all those issues, but glad you followed up with them and have potentially 2 decent options on the table.

I just cancelled mine before receiving the car as I saw the number of posts here and in other places.
