Got a road trip coming up next Sunday covering roughly 300 miles. I'm planning on putting a full tank of Tesco momentum 99 in. Anybody know how much it will be roughly? It's a 55 litre fuel tank isn't it? About £1.35 a litre? £75-80? Also anyone got a good guess for how much range I will get out of that? ( mainly motorway/ A,B roads).
Hi Rick, I had a trip from Dartford to Chester and back that is a 410 mile round trip. About 300 miles of motorways and the rest on A roads, my trip computer was saying I still had 20 miles range left when I filled up. I have the same car as you but had only done 450 miles when I started the trip. I drove to Weymouth on Saturday from Dartford which is 170 miles and took 5 hours due to stop start traffic on the M25 & M3 so only averaged 31 mpg. You will be able to do 300 miles from a full tank.

I agree, never had more than 310 miles to a tank, obviously driving it hard it will drop significantly.

Cheers mate looking forward to trying out the Tesco momentum, heard good stuff from it, not expecting it to be a different car like but I'm Gona enjoy putting my foot down on the countryside roads on general people saying you get a more noticeable response from your throttle. Even with 2 other passengers on board I'm looking forward to the trip. I've not been able to give it a proper extensive drive yet.

310 miles is equivalent to 25.6 mpg (55 litre = 12.2 gallon tank).

400 miles is easily achievable (32.7mpg) if doing any driving on a/b roads or motorways.
You never use the last 5ltrs ish mate, fuel light comes on at 5ltr ish, so 50lts divided by 4.55 (1 x gallon) = 10.98, 310miles divided by 10.98 = 28.23mpg which is the average I was getting unless I floored it.
And without sounding like a knob I never reached the dizzy heights of 400 mile to the tank even if I was going down hill a lot, best I ever achieved in my S3 (18 plate) was 335miles to the tank I drove so sedately it was embarrassing.

I finally took my other car out of the garage (Abarth 124) and it took me a while to get used to normal driving without nannies controlling me. I definitely felt dumbed down after using ACC and Travel Assist in Formentor. I must say, I'm not looking forward to getting back in Formentor for a bit.

Wasn't sure if to put this in here or the infotainment problems section, but here it goes...

Only "issue" i've really had with the car is that I noticed when getting home from the picking the car up that I had a oil service due notification.

Rather oddly, when looking in the settings it says Oil change service on 729 days and 0 miles. Booked this in to the dealer to be looked at. Long and short, after dialogue with Cupra/Seat and trying to reset it, there is no fix at present. Not sure if anyone has had anything similar....

Only a minor bug, as it doesn't effect anything, but given its a lease car I wanted it to be logged, so VWFS can't get their knickers in a twist a say it's something I ignored.

I seem to recall after a short amount of time the service notification sets properly (within a week or 2 of having the car I think) and should set to the actual days/ mileage that it is due. Sorry that's much help but I'm sure something happened after shortly having the car.

Be surprised if you notice any difference, did 26k miles in my previous lease Golf R on both regular and super unleaded = no discernable difference to performance. If you had it on a track you just might notice. Absolutely no difference in mpg either 🤷‍♂️. I have a lot of mechanical sympathy so am treating the Formentor to the good stuff currently, that may wear off, especially when I'm in the depths of Cornwall miles from a 'proper' garage 😂

Just come back from Trafford centre with missus (60 mile round trip) we went in her mini and I stupidly said ' do you want me to drive'.

Many many reasons why I am so glad I drive a cupra formentor VZ2 but the main 2 are this..

1. My legs are in absolute bits going back to a manual car with such heavy pedals/ steering and changing that sodding gear stick is a pain the ass ha.

2. The blind spot detection in the Formentor is underated. Yes you should still have the glance over your shoulder but combine it with the mirrors and it does so much of that work for you. I think I'm suffering with a stiff neck now.

Can't believe how a short bit of motorway driving in a mini cooper can be such a stressful experience compared to what I have been used to over the past couple of months in the Formentor. Don't even get me started on the comfort/ seat position.

I've finally seen first Formentor on the road. DG21 plate in Pirbright area, on Friday afternoon, maybe it's someone from the forum. Car looked quite handsome. Of course, I was driving my other car at the time, so was incognito :)

Wasn’t me (I get that way now and again. Am near Camberley but am always over Ash, Tongham, Aldershot way for work and kids stuff)
Might have been the boss of SMC going between Aldershot and Woking.
Apart from a white one at near Farnborough Gate, his is the only other one I’ve seen.
Perhaps we need a “spotted” thread?

Been 2 months since ordering, and I’ve still not seen one on the road 🤷‍♂️ Rare as hens teeth it seems.

I've finally seen my first one (after 6 months). It was parked at 7am 50 meters from my building. I am guessing it's someone in the neighborhood. It's not a VZ though.

I live on a new housing estate with not many residents and often use the sales office car park because a pain constantly moving cars around when missus wants to go out etc... I've just gone out to out my car on the drive.. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw this..

I actually stopped and had to think for a second, what's going on ha.

Mine is the VZ2 in grey on the right and the one on the left is VZ2 in black. Is this anyone's on here?!?

Not as common as on continent. I saw pictures from underground car park from block of flats in Poland and there were two Formentors parked beside each other. Other people said that they have 2-3 per building.

There’s quite a few knocking about around the north west.
I do drive for a living so suppose I see more of everything compared to people on the commute.
There are a few near our house though. My lad points them out.
He’s 10 and he thinks the new Ford Mustang Mach E ( hideous thing that sounds like something I use to shave with) has more than a passing resemblance to the formentor from the side.
I’d much prefer a formentor given the choice.

I’m in Manchester and to be honest I’ve seen 2 on the road in four months. Admittedly I’ve seen one of those, two or three times. But only seen 2 different ones. A girl in my office says she’s seen a couple out Warrington way. 😆 it’s like a where’s Wally 🤣🤣👍🏼
