Lovely! Any plans for it? The Golf looks lowered?
Snap anyway, only picked mine up this week - same age/colour as yours - also come from a 2008 car!
i had it lowered on volkwagen racing springs and shocks. 20mm supposidly. car just started costing too much in tax and maintainance

Collected the car on Tuesday from the dealership  but only had my first proper day to play with it today (yay weekends!)

Lots still to do as time/money allows, but kicked things off with a quick go with my new obdeleven - have barely scratched the surface of things I'll tweak, but started with the usual people recommend on here;

Enabled 30 colour ambient light menu
Throttle set to responsive
Enabled park pilot
Alarm chirp on lock/unlock + menu option
Auto fold mirrors on lock (short press)
Needle sweep
Oil temp + refuel quantity is DIS
Fan speed on auto

Couldn't for the life of me get the comfort signals to change to 5 blinks though?

Then my first hardware change - fitted progressive indicators - which IMO greatly improves the look of the car. Partly because I like the sweeping signal, but also because the grey tint blends into the mirror cover
Once you set it on obdeleven you have to go into the vehicle menu, then settings and factory reset. Then click lights and it will change it to whatever you have set it too

Had the Cupra dyno'd. MY19 290hp with only mods half a pikey600 with a K&N (no large pipe or elbow). Pretty decent I'd say and this dyno is supposed to be one of the best, if not the best, in Greece and typically shows realistic measurements. If that's even possible on a dyno.

315bhp on the first run
318vhp on the second
39Nm torque on both runs

Healthy diagram as well. This EA888 gen3 is a good engine.

Ah my bad, I set it in obdeleven but didn't know I had to factory reset - as none of the other tweaks needed anything other than turning off the car/rebooting the mib2. Thank you!

Today I did the 'key mod' and swapped the plastic fob bracket for the Mk7 Golf metal version

Also yesterday evening fitted the rear wheel well carpet from the Mk7 Golf estate, which makes the boot feel more finished and has the added bonus of actually reducing road noise. Fitted a new Novline boot liner on top (as recommended on here) and the boot is now nicely lined + protected, and noticeably quieter in the back too (y)

Hi TripleBob, has the wheel well carpet got a part number on it that you could supply me as I’d like to do that with mine 👍 Is it an “okay” fit or an “exact” fit? Looks really nice 😍

Cheers! Yeah its an exact fit - I had to remove the boot edge trims (that hold the adjustable height floor) and then it just dropped straight in. Perfect match, everything lines up exactly inc the cut out for the wheel retention bracket, and the dimples for the ridges in the metalwork. Then put all the trims back - looks like factory fit!
The VW part number is: 5G9863544

Gave her a quick wash, dry and quick detailer since it was finally a nice day for it (although too sunny for cleaning probably).

Added a few small copper touches to improve the appearance….

copper C U P R A letters
copper flag
copper on lower front bumper scoops

Purchased another method of swirl reduction for mine.
Got a BigBoi BlowR mini, used one before and it's really good if you have a ceramic coating and the water beads really easily.
Should get the first use out of mine on Monday so I'll probably post a video of it then.
If you care about your paintwork you should invest in one.

Took the MK3 to collect a new Window from Sheffield for my garage conversion, fitted like a glove! I can confirm if you have something 1005mm wide it will "just" fit in the boot at the thinnest point of a MK3 ST haha when the guys put it in I even got an Ace Ventura "like a glove" quote from one of their warehouse guys.

It's just a good car, got a nice 34mpg on the way and that went up to 39mpg with the window in the car on the way home haha saw a few MK3's on route, couple of Cupra's on the A57 and A1 and loads of FR's which were mostly going the other way to me.
