Managed to open the boot once this morning, first time with revised foot action. Couldn’t do it again lol.
Been through a load of stuff today and set up pretty much everything except online services. Two things that came up were “dealer needs to verify your identity” and also I need to set up a data plan, a year is £100.
Does this seem right? It’s a bit tight if so. I’ve changed the user from “guest” which is how it was at delivery to my own connect account details.
Even a bmw comes with a year or so “free” online services.
The globe icon is showing white if that’s any help

Finally got to see and sit in a V2 Formentor today. Not the same colour as my order but the same spec.

Surpringly roomy and boot space was decent.

Interestingly the Cupra dealer I was talking to was nice enough to let me see the car but when I asked about if they had any owners coming back with issues he said there have been none. I suppose it is possible but he also said I am sure you can find an online forum where people will be moaning!

He stopped talking when I said I had the Golf which shares the same engine and platform and I had to reject it because of the issues.

It's alright saying 'dont believe the Internet' but then when it is happening in your driveway....

I asked some other questions abour the service plan and his price was £80 more than the advertised 2 year plan. But it may have been for a 3 year plan.

I think the era where the customer knows more is upon us. I just can't trust any dealerships these days.

Despite this, the car looked great and more roomy than I thought.

Bring on September!

In fairness, not every forum user is experiencing problems, although none of us should be, but it seems to be a fact of new car ownership these days? Looking at the Owners Register, there's approaching 90 cars registered, but issues seem to be limited to single figures of vehicles, even if each have multiple problems? Hopefully issues are reducing, and I haven't experienced anything above minor niggles (🤞🤞🤞) i the very early days, and a couple of updates resolved all issues. Hope you're as happy as me when you do get your new car, September will soon be here!!

Just booked Midlands airshow on 6th June, gives me my first chance for a long drive 270miles round trip for me. Will have my brother and dad on board ( so a bit different from the family at home) so looking forward to a bit of spirited driving when get off the motorway.

Nice moment today pulling up to one of my local crossroads at the front on red. I look at the traffic coming from my left and VZ2 same spec as mine rolls up to the red light. We exchange a thumbs up, think he had his missus in front seat. My light turned green first so thought would give it a good right foot off the lights as a salute to him. I hope his missus is aware of the performance or he may have a bit of explaining to do this evening. Ha

I was just turning on to my road this evening on the way back from work and a guy waiting pull gave me a big thumbs up.

Took me by surprise as he was in a lovely spec Ferrari 812 Superfast.
Ha nice. obviously appreciates a good car when he sees one ha. Wasn't a grey one was it with black trim?

This one was silver. I’m based in Sheffield, so hardly the super car epicentre, but in the past week I’ve seen 4 different 812’s.

Got a road trip coming up next Sunday covering roughly 300 miles. I'm planning on putting a full tank of Tesco momentum 99 in. Anybody know how much it will be roughly? It's a 55 litre fuel tank isn't it? About £1.35 a litre? £75-80? Also anyone got a good guess for how much range I will get out of that? ( mainly motorway/ A,B roads).

Around 260 miles range left, mainly motorway with about 6 or 7 miles town driving each end
