Slow infotainment

Hi all,

Tried the new Cupra Formentor today and although I did like the overall experience, I wasn't impressed with the slowness of the infotainment system.

Have Cupra released any update to fix the slowness of the infotainment system? Or will it be this slow until Cupra upgrades with a new CPU?

After 5 minutes it all seems to work quite well I feel but yes if trying to give it commands when first getting in the car in first 5 mins it seems to be very temperamental. Having it up to date also obviously helps

It was a test drive car, unfortunately I can't remember the reg number of the car.

Me and a friend test drove the car for almost 1 hour, unfortunately the infotainment system didn't feel any better after or during that time.

It was a test drive car, unfortunately I can't remember the reg number of the car.

If it was pre registered car it is likely to be a late 2020 model and it may not have the system update on the infotainment screen.

My car had a sluggish infotainment system until the update was applied and it’s fine now.

I'm on the latest update and it's still rather sluggish. Why in 2021 a company the size of VW still can't create a touch screen infotainment system that can keep up with a £100 Android phone is just embarrassing.

I used to complain about responsiveness of the screen before the update but now it is not a problem anymore.

This is a super old thread, but to update: almost three and a half years later, I test-drove the Cupra Leon and the Formentor again, and to my big surprise, the infotainment system was spot-on! Super nice and quick to respond to any input. I’ve placed an order for the Leon ST VZ e-hybrid
