Model Year 24/25 2024 Formentor Brake problem

Hello, I recently bought a brand new 0km 2024 facelifted Cupra Formentor. I have a concern about the braking behavior. For example, when stopping at a red light or slowing down in city traffic, I gradually increase the brake pressure for a smooth, jerk-free stop (similar to squeezing a lemon). However, during this braking process, the car suddenly starts to coast as if I have lifted my foot off the brake and put it in neutral.

This makes me feel like I’ve lost control, so I instinctively press the brake pedal harder. But at that moment, it feels like the brake system is unresponsive and does not slow the car down.

If I were not paying close attention or following another car too closely, this could be a serious issue. Is this a normal behavior in hybrid cars? or is there something wrong with the braking system?

Wondering if you found out anything further. Mine is exactly the same. Makes me nervous as it's totally unpredictable. Should have kept my Cupra Ateca.

Same here; slightly disconcerting ... Sometimes it's in Regen, other times not. Almost as if there is play in the pedal. The pedal is not instantly reactive ...

The other annoyance is the height of the pedal; you can't easily slide your foot from the accelerator to the brake without having to lift your foot first!

Had the braking system checked over by Cupra; their response is it's "characteristic" ... it's not ideal ...
