Leon 2013 1.2tsi No reverse lights, sensors or bleep when in reverse - please advise!

When I put the car in reverse, I get no reverse light, bleep or reverse sensors. They were all working fine, but then all of a sudden... nothing!

Have checked what I think is the correct fuses, but I couldn't find anything wrong.

I have changed the reverse bulb and have had the 'reverse light switch' replaced today by a local garage, but still the problem persists.

Is there anything known what this could be or how it can be fixed?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

My initial response would have said the reverse light switch too.

Are all of the lights out on the inner light units e.g. rear fog and tail light? Does the rear wiper still work?

If not this may indicate that the rear lock mechanism has failed and/or corroded. I had a similar fault on my Octavia - the unit is quite susceptible to moisture ingress/corrosion.

Everything else working fine, but I think I have just found the issue. I believe it is a broken wire that joins the actual plug that goes onto the 'reverse switch'. I am just looking at a replacement plug. I believe it is the 8K0973702 2 pin plug that I require. For anyone else that has had this problem, that may be helpful.

Thanks for the reply black sheep none the less, most appreciated.
