How much you spent on mods?

why not just buy a BTTC kit Leon

why build what you can buy. I used to piss money up the wall on mods. Now when i look back i feel sick of the money i wasted.

Love seeing the progression on this, loved the alloys and was glad to hear you did buy them.

Even happier to see what colour you have gone for!

I had a set on my in a similar colour but those alloys suit it much more!

not much mate ? you’ll be happy to know I’ve spent less on mods than i would’ve spent to buy a car with btcc kit and low mileage. This car cost me under 2k you do the math ?? If it makes you sick it just means you didn’t mod sensibly if you do it properly and get the best prices you can how could you go wrong? Modding should be fun and if it makes you feel sick in the future means it weren’t for you.. you weren’t in it for the thrill

Despite the rain was given a quick wash and seat vac after the build up of road grime and brake dust! Sorry about the cover on the drivers seat! Might give them another wet vac soon.. they are either wet or still some dirt left but better than what they was ?

No probs mate!

Unfortunately don’t have any of my old pictures that really showed the colour of them, most pictures I have make them look black or non visible

Kinda the reason I’ve gone for some new alloys.

Found out the wheels are not actually 18’s but 17’s... devastated to say the least especially once the refurbs been done! Spacers will also need to be changed as centre bore on these A4 Alloys are a different size?not going too well at the moment. Huge error in not properly checking the size of the wheels

Bought a set of spigots which made the wheels sit flush. Just need centre caps now. Anyone know what size be best for these Audi wheels?
Will take proper pictures once cars given a wash ?

Car was tilted when picture was taken hence why the arches look so big?

Snow has halted any progression I had set out to do! But here’s some pictures of the wonderful chameleon against the snow!

Also unfortunately having to change my rear lower arms due to the tracking bolts being seized and snapping off. I did tell them not to touch the bolts if they were seized but low and behold.. costly expense as now both lower arms needs to be changed and bolts can only be bought from tps or the dealers. The existing bolts will need to be cut so a little bit of a tough job/ After that the tracking will need to be done again.

then I’ll be starting on the btcc kit and exhaust?

You measured the face of the alloy didn’t you and it read 18”, its the diameter of the barrel where the tyre sits,

18” face is 17” alloy

19” face is 18” alloy

easy mistake

unfortunately yes that’s exactly the way I measured them. Also the Russian bloke I bought them off was banging on about them defo being 18s as he had them on his A4 B8! Lesson well and truly learnt ?✅
