That’s just the infotainment system, right?
Well that's the one the connect services runs on I reckon. The other software for the system will be in your normal VCDS modules, the eSim connect services must be in the mib3 firmware (the software... in this example 0777) but someone publishing a vcds scan or Odbeleven showing the modules would be interesting.

For info I pictured this off a demo Ateca mib3 in October 2020 with the software release. I dug out the FeCs as well. Presume the navigation database is yy.mm. I can see from above they have come along a bit.

What we are interested in is whether they have sorted out the radio logo import and manual map import, both in the manual but not on the menus plus the connect service bugs. I don't have the car but an on going thread on the firmware I reckon would be handy so issues and improvements can be be discussed. The map release would be useful and monitoring for the missing menus of the mib3.

Following our last over the air software update, our system appears to have forgotten what its hardware is (see before and after photos below)

Probably left it out of the program. Does a mib3 reboot to a long press on the on / off like mib2, could try that to cause it to restart the software. Thats the mib2 fix to strange behaviour. About 5 second or so hold on the standby button. Normally get a clunk from the speakers when it restarts and the screen loads up. Shorter hold doesn't do that just turns it off or on which ever is the opposite.

Holding(touching) the power button for around 8 seconds does do a full reboot, screen goes black followed by seat logo

Did it then show Philk's missing stuff if you too had it missing ?. Need to keep an eye open for missing menus that are documented in the manual as software releases increment just in case they are suppose to be in there as per the documentation, logo import and offline map import are two.

Nope mine looks exactly the same as Philk's
Same software version, but with hardware and software as unknown.

They use to appear when I first got the car, but only with the ignition on.

Does a full reboot cause any issues (such as logging off the primary user) or does it just carry on cleanly. Wanted to check prior to trying this.

It didn't for me just started back up without issue, still signed In, settings were the same, temperatures didn't change.

Just checked here's my software version it seems they are no longer appearing as unknown

To do the full reboot you need to hold(touch) the button for over 10 seconds until you see the seat icon appear.

Then it shows a loading settings page for a few seconds then the standard welcome [primary user] page

Having done the full reboot (thank you Dan555), I can confirm that the system has now "rediscovered" its hardware which is no longer shown as "unknown". The system did appear to forget the Individual Driving Mode setting (which was easy to rectify). Everything else continued to work fine.
