I have a 2014 seat leon and I got in the car this mornings my and no hot air coming through the vents everything else works just no hot air any ideas ,thanks

From experience from my 2.0 TDI Leon and 1.0 TSI Ibiza, heating is only avaliable once the engine gets up to temperature.
From experience, you can see the engine temp on the left side of instruments (rev counter). When it's at min, there is no hot air, once it goes up 2-3 bars, then you can get heat.
From memory, 2.0 TDI took about 7-10 mins, 1.0 TSI takes 4-5 mins (city driving). If you go straight to a highway run, perhaps a bit quicker.
Of course if you already had a journey, parked the car up, come back to it in an hour, you might be able to use the heat right away.
This is my experience from 2013 MK3 Leon 2.0TDI and 2016 1.0 TSI Ibiza.

If there was no coolant in it after 45 mins of driving on the motorway the engine would be toast and he would know about it not to mention the low coolant warning that would be on the dash ;-)
Ideally you need to get it plugged in as it could be a stuck motor on the heating flaps

Don't know why you would want hot air in this weather but try turning the drivers temp control to 'Hi' and then press the 'Sync' button to equalize the temps and see if you then get hot air, Also try pressing the buttons that control where the air goes to.

No they had a quick look at it at dealers but need it for longer so going in tomorrow but could be dashboard out job
Lets hope it's an easy fix. There was a guy on this forum some time ago who had a blocked heater matrix, I think he ended up changing it without having to dismantle too much.

And now for the interesting bit of info for anyone wanting to tackle this themselves...
When refitting, I realised that I really didn't need to pull all that crap out to get to it. You can literally get it out by:
Draining coolant
Removing:
2x heater matrix hoses in the bulkhead
1x Torx screw on 'skirt' under the centre console
1x Torx screw on the lower pipe clip
1x Torx screw behind the glovebox (just flip it down as you would for a pollen filter change) to remove the air duct for more access room
2x Torx screws for the flap holding the matrix in place
And that is literally it! On reflection, I honestly believe the draining, removing/refitting of the matrix and filling back up with fluid could be done in under 2 hours. And that is by me - a ham-fisted DIY'er. How these garages have taken days and even weeks to do this job, is beyond me!
This was a few weeks ago now, and glad to report, it's working like a dream. It's maybe not 100%, but it's good enough for now. And it's a job I now know I can tackle easily, and quickly! Will probably give it another go, leaving the dishwasher tablet and boiling water in the matrix for longer next time.
I am experiencing a similar issue with the Heater unit of my 2013 Seat Leon FR. The unit is able to output heat but as soon as the fans are turned on (even when set to High), nothing but cold air comes out the Vents. My Garage has looked into the issue, but been unable to diagnose the root cause. They have removed the Dash and checked all the Blend Door Flaps are working correctly. They checked the Inlet and Outlet Hoses of the Heater Matrix and found that with the Heater controls set to ‘High’ both are too hot to touch, but when the Fans are turned on the temperature of the Outlet Hose drops significantly. They have replaced the Thermostat, which only really leaves an issue with the Water Pump or the Heater Matrix itself. They have taken the Car out on a long Test Drive and repeatedly driven it up a very steep hill to place the Engine under high load and the Temperature Gauge doesn't shift from 90 DegC, so they are doubtful it is an issue with the Water Pump. Given the car is only a year out of Warranty they are also doubtful it could be the Heater Matrix, but given the number of Heater Matrix problems I am reading about on here it looks as though it could be!
I experienced the exact same issue with my 2015 1.6 TDI Seat Leon.
I brought it my local mechanic and he immediately suggested that it could be the heater matrix but he flushed the coolant system first in the hope that it may just be a clog in the system, this cost me €80. The heating still didn’t work after this so he advised that I get the heater matrix replaced as soon as possible as it could lead to problems with the head gasket if left too long. Seemed to be and easy job to do and only took a few hours although Cost me €400 (€200 parts and €200 labour and VAT)
Just DIY it. Set aside a morning so you aren't rushed. Make sure you put down something to catch the coolant and all the bits that com out when you pull the pipes off the. You could take the plastic covers off under the dash to expose the pipes and see if they both get warm or if one stays cold. I left the header tank cap on and didn't lose any coolant in the engine bay, just had to put in about a pint to top it back up.
Cost me about £110 for the matrix and a bottle of coolant.

My Leon’s heating has just given up the ghost too, so am relieved to hear that it should be a fairly straightforward process for indie garage to fix.
