SW update for MIB2 infotainment system?

I have this system, i have read alot of this forum but its really confused me as there was lots of different variations. I got the car last week but there is no medialink or full link, Just normal Bluetooth. is there a way to update this to gain more features? if so what features. I also have ambient lighting but cannot select the colour, its just white. Is there any way to change this with the update too?

Hey you have a mib1 and it doesn’t support much things for this you need a unlocked mib2 unit
I can offer you one with the newest update and fully unlocked if you wish

it fits if you buy a 6.5 screen it costs round abound 100-150€

yes
the mib2 works only with the 6.5" and the 8" screen
you can plug and play both devices (6.5" screen and mib2)

i have a mib2 here already patched with dab and all unlocked with the newest firmware
you must buy the screen and the usb port for apple carplay

Suspect it depends on how complex your car is. That would be one for the vendor. Traffic sign recognition obviously but suspect a Leon with Mib1 would not have that, no Lane Assist. If you read the bottom three paragraphs of that link it says the process. DAB aerial etc.

None whatsoever.

if in doubt - PM kieran either on here or on facebook. If you are in the north of England, they can fit too!

As Tell said - you may need a GPS antenna if you don't already have one and most certainly a DAB antenna as well.
