This would be my advice too. Varying the revs is important in the early miles as it avoids gazing the bores. A throrough warm up is important too - E92 M3s were famous for running their big end bearings but this could be avoided by staying below 3,000 rpm until the oil was up to 100 deg.So I think as long as you vary the rpm ie don’t idle it and don’t rag it when it’s cold or redline it all the time you. Will be alright. At least that’s what I’m telling myself as I can’t help driving it quickly!! ’
