Personally the mk4’s worst angle is the side profile. The mk3 looks much nicer side on.

both sets of mk4 alloys are also rather tasteless imo

Ok here is a side profile comparison between the MK3 and MK4 - I've also photoshopped the ST's wheels on the 5 door PHEV so you can see what the Petrol 5 door will look like. View attachment 13514 View attachment 13515 View attachment 13516
Thanks! The MK4 looks much more modern, meaty and aggressive. Also feels like a more genuine and thought-through design. My MK3 Cupra ST looks (and is!) awesome, but it comes up short here.

Completely disagree side by side the MK3 looks very box shaped now
Opinions are like bum holes and all that, side on all cars look the same in 2020 hence the ford focus comparisons due to the regulations set out for passenger protection in an accident manufacturers have little margin for making individual cars.

So true - more than a passing similarity with most cars in the same segment. Have a look at the pictures in reply no. 25 in the discussion thread over on golfgtiforum.co.uk at the link below;

They are also available without the copper colour with black instead. Be interesting to see those.
Would like to see the wheels without copper on the car. Is there an option sheet available and are there any updates on the launch/ delivery of the mk4 Cupra

All the specs we know are in the article: https://www.seatcupra.net/index.php/2020/02/20/here-is-the-new-2020-cupra-leon-with-up-to-310hp/

Delivery will be 4th quarter of this year unless there are factory delays. You should be able to place a token deposit at a dealer now, but won't be able to actually place an order likely until summer - ST will be before the 5 door as well.

I know it's subjective and I'm ever so slightly biassed but........

Does anyone know if the wheels on the standard 245/300 5 door hatch will be normal, as in the mk3 5 x double-spoke?

Not as bad as they looked in the original link, but would take some getting used to.

I'll be interested to see pricing on petrol variants.

Sounds like they've reworked the exhaust to put the official figure back to 300bhp (fwd)

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh. Doubt I'll get another though.
