The included foam cannon is next to useless. Nilfisk sell an upgraded version for around £17 which is OK, but you're better off getting one of the dedicated foam cannons as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Might seem expensive, but IMO it’s a good quality, solid piece of kit with a good range of adjustments for flow and foam concentration.

I got a flexible 10 metre hose from direct hoses, makes cleaning the car so much easier.

Thanks! I need to treat myself to one of these as I’m getting fed up struggling with the (not very) flexible hose that was supplied with my pressure washer.

I have an old Kew pressure washer which I think ended up becoming a Nilfisk, I don't use it in winter as it would freeze up in the garage, initial plan was to buy at a good price, an end of line previous model Kew, as it had a short body and fold down handle, but ended up having to buy a newest model at a good price which has a long body with no fold down handle, which meant my plan to store it in the utility room vanished!

Back to black marks on a white car, is this not just due to "stuff" running/coming out/down from the rubber and other black parts of the car? My daughter's old Ibiza had that issue, very annoying.

Used the obliterate tar remover on my car not long ago most came off one of them is bloody stone chip and it’s bang central on the bonnet, any advice on getting this touched up. Problem is it’s white so it’s noticeable to me.

I am getting the car done up in February when I got the car I managed to get a bit of money knocked off with there been a scratch underneath the wing mirror, that £200 with it being slightly dented too, is it enough to get them to the stone chip on top of that?

As different brands of pressure washer have different types of fittings, any foam cannon / snow foam lance you get will need to have the correct Nilfisk fitting for your model of pressure washer. I don’t think there’s a generic / universal type of fitting that will fit all brands of pressure washer.

As for stone chips - they’re an inevitable consequence of using your car. On a positive note; colour matching white paint shouldn’t be an issue, and once the stone chip has been sorted, if you repair it yourself it’s unlikely to be noticeable to anyone other than you. The cheapest option to fix the one on your bonnet is to get some Seat touch paint from the dealer. I’d advise not applying the paint with the brush inside the cap though - I find these brushes too large, and if you use the supplied brush, you’ll probably end up with an unsightly blob of plaint covering the stone chip. IMO, much better to use something like the end of a cocktail stick or the ends of an unfolded paper clip to get the paint in the chip. The next cheapest option is probably a Chipex or Dr Colourchip paint repair kit. It takes a bit of practice using one of these kits to get a decent result, but there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to use them. The beauty of one of these kits is that if you’re not happy with the results, then you can use the blending solution supplied in the kit to remove the paint you’ve applied and start again. The third option - get someone like Chips Away to repair it, but it’s not really cost effective getting them to repair just one stone chip.

Sound when I get I my car done in general with the scratch I’ll ask him for a bit of paint to do the chip and for future reference. He works for jct 600 and does jobs at home on the side and he did my Ibiza 2/3 times and gave me up extra paint for touch ups, I doubt he’d do the stone chip but for £200 hope he can

As already noted, Clay Bar will get rid of surface contaminants, but only when you have washed all the bodywork first and adhere to the instructions, as i have seen some mighty screw ups!

The key to successful claying is not to use too heavy a grade of clay bar, and to always use plenty of lubricant on the car bodywork to stop the clay bar becoming dry and dragging over the panels being clayed. If you don’t, then the result will be marring to the paintwork that’ll need to be polished out.
