So day off..

Waiting for detailing stuff to arrive so I can try it (car is probably too hot now) so I got a few bits done...

Fitted the 2nd strut as 1 looked a little wierd the more I looked at it, also fitted the battery box instead of the rubbish material version.

Got rid of this now I have the struts

Then cleaned the wheels with new Autoglym wheel foam (thanks @Legojon for spending my money), to be honest it did a good job and it's awesome!

After they had been dried I put some decals on... Not sure yet and not sure they're even straight so who knows how long they will last... The straight on pic isn't true colour but 2nd is

And lastly some cheap soft rubber inserts for the bottom of my cup holders so my sweet tubs don't rattle haha

See what happens after lunch... Maybe some stone chip repair or some forum trophy paint job.

Forgot to add the stone chip fill in from yesterday...

Used this bad boy with some ebay touch up paint.

Safe to say it was easy as can be and this picture makes it look like they're gone but you can see them close up but it's alot better than white or black... Win win

I like that. I’ve got to lovely chips on mine, I’ll get one of those tools and some touch up I think. What’s it called?

I can do one better...

Loew-Cornell Fine Line Painting Pen, Other, Multicoloured, 3.01 x 5.93 x 22.06 cm https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004YZXV8U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_BAXDCbXVXBBE4

Make sure you get the UK seller which is a few quid more but you'll get it within a week max lol

I guess it's all down to touch up paint... I have 3 viles of it and chose the best match lol

Cheers, just bought one on Amazon Prime. Should be handy and for less than a tenner its should be a good investment.

So my current list for making this car as close to show room as possible without spending serious money...

- Sandblast, Tig weld previous issues and fully refurbish alloys back to standard Silver (£500 ish)
- Remove Calipers for re painting of standard Red with added Cupra Decals (£20)
- Repair as many stone chips/scratches as possible (Unknown)
- Full detail on exhaust tips (free)
- New bonnet insulation (£100 ish)
- Get new Headlight housing and new Xeon bulbs (unknown)

For a second I thought you were sandblasting and spraying the car silver!
