So... just had a call from my claim manager at Seat CS...
I asked about copper lettering to replace the black...she passed the query on the the product team who asked her for a photo of the boot of my car as they don’t understand my problem.. apparently, according to the product team, there is no version of the Cupra shipped with a copper badge and black lettering..????? WTF!!

I originally ordered mine in silver and would have looked similar, but in my wisdom I changed it to Mystery Blue, meaning that it’s quite hard to actually see the CUPRA a lot of the time, hence the idea of changing to copper and possibly removing the 4Drive badge..

Indeed it's not, but it's attached to an engine with a turbo that is. Sods law says that I'll get a problem with one (or both) of these and Seat won't pay out due to it. Now due to my daily job as a mechanical engineer for Rolls, I could very easily write them a report on why slightly reducing the backpressure of the system is in fact advantageous and couldn't contribute to the failure of an engine or turbo, but they won't accept that and I'd be out of pocket. Call me overly cautious, call me pessimistic, but if one person has to have the warranty problem...it'll be me!

Pretty sure the exhaust is covered under warranty. However as the most restrictive part of the exhaust is the cat (or maybe now the GPF) changing a rear silencer is not going to make any difference. The only part of the warranty you'd invalidate would be the cat back bit of the exhaust.
Had a brief look at my Cupra this evening.
It was obviously dark and it hadn't had the side skirts fitted or gone through PDI.
- illuminated "Cupra" Sill plates looked good
-Digital cockpit looked nice (although it seemed really small
)
-Beats Audio sub sounded decent
@AlexOS it had the new infotainment startup & the legacy Cupra badge on the DSG base plate
Looked decent still not 100% sure on the copper.
Dealership said that I can have the original standard black center caps if I want.
Started her up but it was still in transport mode. Still sounded better than my 280

Good pics. Funny enough my first thought when I drove one was the Digital Dash looks small so totally agree, guess we will get used to it

Mine starts with the satndard Silver Seat badge. The word Seat and the legacy Cupra badge underneath..
The small digital cockpit was a bit of a letdown for me having driven the golf for two months, but I do like it in general. Although in the layout on your photo, it’s weird as the revs got to about 2k before it reaches the corner and starts to rise and on the speed side it’s still on the bottom until about 35.. quite hard to see, although it has the digital speed on there so you do know what you’re doing.
The layout with the two circular dials is very similar to the golf and with the fuel economy and fuel range inside the dials is really good, although with this layout, if you want the map display in the middle it’s a very narrow map... this is the only one the golf does better as it’s much wider.
It’s the fuel and temp gauges on the sides that make it too narrow. They should be built in to the dash options and widen the screen.Good pics. Funny enough my first thought when I drove one was the Digital Dash looks small so totally agree, guess we will get used to it

On older cars wasn’t it possible to put in a custom image? Be nice to get mine loading up with Carbon instead
Made sure to check the infotainment startup after your earlier post. I wanted to see if it displayed the beats logo as well.
Haven't got a collection date yet due to incorrect finance docs.
So you may have your skirts fitted first. Upload some pics once you do.

I have noticed a couple of things I wanted to do with an ODB edit have been changed to standard in mine...
Carbon background in the infotainment system
Rear DRLs on all the time
Mode selection is only lit up in Cupra mode.. its standard colour in Normal, sport and individual..
