If you have a 300 4 drive already, I’d say don’t bother.
I had the
280, coming to 4 years old and it didn’t have the 2 things I’d always wanted from the start, buckets and
Sub8. For me I wanted a 300 4 drive with bucket seats and side skirts, the Performance Pack (
Sub8) was no longer available in the UK.
So the carbon just made sense if I could get it for the right money, even if it doesn’t have Seat Sound.
I had my eye on a very high spec’d 300 as a back up, only thing it was missing was the side skirts and BBK.
So if you have a 300 4 drive, the Carbon is no quicker. The side blades are just the same as the blades you can get anyway, just a carbon insert instead of black.
I’d say get the full side skirts for your 300 and then get the splitter wrapped in white so the front looks as low as the full skirts.
Honestly, at the moment after the initial 4WD launch, I’d say my
280 certainly felt faster and cornered better due to the diff and PSS tyres :O
Better tyres (PS4S) are going on Friday to
help I hope, but got plans to improve the front end feel/grip if not. Would love a proper LSD at the front to go with the 4drive. It would be a weapon then.
Also got plans to improve the power as well (think the Swiss St 370
![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
)
Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t swap back to my
280, any of the improved Sat Nav, digital dash or seats would be worth everything else and it’s got all 3 not to mention the wheels that look better in the flesh and the BBK.
But I do need to make it properly mine
