Tried eco mode today! Sat at 60-70 on the m40 and m42. Also bad a bit of fun when the motor way was clear! This is what I got for a 75 mile journey

Way down west...
One thing that has always irritated me about the Ibiza and it seems the same in the Cupra is the fact that the icon on volume knob is not independent of the outer ring. So I find myself setting it to face straight up and adjusting the volume on the steering wheel.

However, my better 3/4's does not do this and we end up with the situation below! :(

Even Fords get this bit right!

This didn’t annoy me on the Mk2 until the salesman pointed it out on the 280. Now both my wife and I have to have it upright :(

@AlexOS don’t know if you maybe missed my previous post with all the messages being posted on here but...

Can you post a pic of the Golf R foot rest the loaner you have has? I’d love to see how it looks as I want one for my Cupra but can’t seem to find any pics of the rest actually in a car.

Can you help?
I'd love to but the hire company took it back yesterday.. They called to say they'd be there in a couple of hours to collect... I called Seat to ask whats going on and they called back 15 mins later to say 'Sorry, we forgot to call'. Apparently the mobex team decided on Wednesday to review my case as i have had the R for 6 weeks and they decided that they couldn't keep me in that car ongoing, but that they would be sending another car to tide me over until the new one gets delivered..

About 15 mins after the hire company took my 17 plate Golf R away, another driver, from the same company, arrived with the replacement, a 67 plate Golf R... WTF??? This one doesn't have DCC or the foot rest in it, but is otherwise identical..

Sorry chaps, but i forgot to take a pic of the first one..

Are Mobex part of Seat!! They certainly have similar levels of common sense and clarity of information!

It was probably time for the 17 plate to be disposed of/sold.

@AlexOS you are a terrible liar. I already knew there was no metal footrest made by VAG for the RHD MQB cars. Should of just manned up and accepted you were mistaken.

I thought your car had been delivered and was held by the Dealer? Aren’t you collecting it or have you decided to re-order a Cupra Lux?

I think I’ll be stuck with the current one as they can’t get the discount on the Lux. The closest they can get to my current price is an additional £35 per month.

It’s is sat at the dealer now. Wessex fleet emailed me yesterday morning with a reg, then emailed me to say they car will be delivered on the 14th ad then emailed AGAIN to say that the spec has changed and it’s now a 290!!

About 10 mins later they called to say please disregard two of the emails.. firstly it IS a 300 (obviously). Second that unfortunately I can’t have it on the 14th as they have decided we need to do the finance again, even thought the price is the same and the spec hasn’t changed. The problem is twofold.. firstly is a leaseplan agreement and from what others have said, it could be at least a week before we even get the docs, then, once we have signed them, we have the two week cooling off again, even through nothing has changed!!

I’m not too worried though as I am still trying to squeeze a set of side skirts out of my claim manager at Seat CS. They said no on Friday as they felt the mobex was enough compensation, until I pointed out that the mobex was for the delays, not the screw up on the winter pack/leather we had ordered, and that since they had agreed to keep me in a mobex car until possibly March, if we took a Lux, then the cost of skirts is a bargain.. they are reconsidering... Plus I still have a mobex car so I’m not paying anything until I take delivery.

All I want is, if I am having this car, to have it delivered just before Christmas, preferably with painted and fitted skirts.

I'm now also in a mobex car having handed back my Skoda VRS estate at the end of my last 3 year lease, while I wait for my ST 4 drive. They are now saying this will be BW 46 which should be next week but forgive my scepticism given how shocking Seat CS are with their information, conflicting inaccurate or worse at times.
I wasn't as lucky as AlexOS, & have ended up in a Golf GTD estate. Did try & blag an R but non available local to me. Still, fuel accepted, a free motor for a few weeks. Still hoping from an ST Xmas present to self!

When you guys are saying your having a golf R untill your cars are being delivered etc, is it because your previous lease cars have gone back and your Cupras are late or have you sold a car that you own and been without a car so they have provided you with a vehicle

Think they are guys who already have a VWFS/SEAT lease, one of the perks is they look after you if there's delays between your cars.

Fair enough this is my first time leasing and it’s through a seat dealer/vwfs so that good to know for the future just got to time it correct to sell my mk4 anniversary golf before I get the cupra so I’m not without a car and I don’t have two cars hanging around the house :headhurt:
