Easing into Cupra ownership from my FR. It's everything I hoped for.
Only gripe would be that it came on Contis - better than the alternatives but they struggle a bit for grip, and a couple of early slides on the front end have made me a little over cautious when cornering.

Conties are a weak link on the Cupra.

I could possibly be in on this.

Out of interest what kind of savings can we get from group buys such as this? Getting my (non-group buy tyres fitted today), could I just have missed out on a cracking deal ?

I ended up paying around £150 a corner fitted for mps4s from black circles with the current Michelin discount applied

I don't honestly know to be honest, Black Circles was the cheapest I could find with that discount at the moment. I'd hope to at least get them to £140 a corner, but I honestly don't know.

On the drive back (2 miles 30-40 mph) obviously not much to report, although I did get the impression that the road noise was reduced when compared to the mpss.

Strange why a company would go to the lengths of building a flag ship fast model for all the press to report saying how good it is apart from the tyres. You'd think that SEAT would want top marks from the outset and now they aren't offered as an upgrade just offer them from standard.

Interestingly though when I last had new tyres I bought the Falken FK510 as it's a good tyre for the price point and they offer a good warranty with them. Whilst I was there the fitter said later that day he had four Focus RS coming in to take off and replace with the Falken's. Maybe the Michelin's just don't suit that car?

How old is the car? That’s not good if the baffle has gone already

Photo shows its a 280 ST so a 2015 car

Yeah it’s not great news. My hope is that removing the blockage will keep the car running ok for a while. I envisage getting a new exhaust at some point so I’m not too worried. That is of course until someone on here points out that what I just did is bad for some reason....

Unfortunately for me I didn’t get it checked out while it was still under warranty, as I’m pretty sure that it could have been fixed properly then.
