I find the 3800 quite ugly with its front loading CD slot, it also has the resistive screen of my 8800. DAB is quite nice but you'll have to run the antenna somewhere.

Thinking about it, Apple or not, the SPH-DA120 would probably be my choice at the £300 mark. Without the IOS integration it still just operates as a normal Pioneer head unit. You could load up both USB ports it offers with USB sticks.

Id be worried how the 3800 would fit also, its a lot squarer than the SPH.

Maybe have a peek in Halfords and see which you prefer, they used to have them on show for you to fondle the last time I went in.

Either way, USB seems to be your only requirement so most headunits will suffice :)

Where did you route the USB to for the unit?

USB1 runs under the plastic trim that houses the gear stick and handbrake. It pops out passenger seat side, about in line with the handbrake. Making it easily accessible for plugging in to the phone etc...

USB2 I've hidden at the back of the passenger footwell, under the carpet with a 128GB USB drive connected.

You got a photo of the handbrake install? How hard was it to route the cable?

Thanks :D

Just run it between the carpet and the trim. If you can do all the rest, then this bits easy peasy :p

Thanks for all the photos! Just wanted to make sure I knew what you meant, good idea putting it there. Whether I can do the rest is a good question! Shall see if I can my hands on a second hand unit and take it from there

The final picture above was late at night, it was a 'final fitment' without cables... So when it came to install the next day, with cables, I found there was a protruding piece of plastic at the back that needed to go. I also found that for a flush fit, the fascia needed amending...!

The connects2 fascia is horrendously bad. As documented elsewhere. I had to sand the perimeter until it fit. This took about an hour, between shaving bit, trying to fit it, shaving more bits, trying to fit it. I've had better luck with InCarTec stuff, these might be worth a try if someone else is going to attempt this? Anyway...

The fascia needs sanding around the perimeter, to even stand a chance of fitting. I also took off the bevelled edge on the rear just to try and improve the chance of a flush fit.

I 'ground off' the green Reverse Signal wire with the ground wire (black) on the Pioneer Harness, for 'Handbrake Bypass'.

I attached the Fakra power wire to the Blue/White Remote wire on the Pioneer harness, this is for the antenna amplifier.

I then cut out the nubbin at the back, and hey presto.........

What a pain this one was :)

I hope you're still active :)

How did you get this to fit perfectly? Iv'e got the same Connects2 Fascia for my Ibiza 2014 Facelift model. Installed the same head unit as you and done all the cutting out. Only Issue is the fascia that wont sit right. I have sanded down the perimeter so its flush as well as them little raised tab things in the corners. It still wont sit correctly.

I get the feeling the fascia is slightly just too wide and therefore the corners do not sit flush. The top and bottom part also has play and seems like it needs to be stuck down with sticky tape.

Any ideas? Tips?

You probably need this:

ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F171807511194

The one you bought won't fit your specific car

Seems like the same one I bought.. Just cheaper!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CT23ST23...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I emailed the seller and they said only Connects2 make the Fascia. Everyone sells the same kit for different prices on eBay.

I guess it was just poorly manufactured!

Thanks for replying :)

They both have different model numbers?

I believe there are three different models ( CT23ST23 CT23ST24 CT23ST25 ).

The only difference between them is the finish. CT23ST23 is the Black finish, CT23ST24 is the Piano Black finish and CT23ST25 is the soft touch finish.

You've researched this well haha maybe you're right!

Thing is, my radio looks like the one in the guy's photo above - right at the top. The generic ibiza models have a different dashboard radio which has slightly different dimensions. Hence why the guy had to sand his.

Haha, I did so much research before even attempting it. I would have thought they would have made a better fitment considering SEAT is a popular car! My radio also looks like the one in the post. However, it differs slightly once the OEM headunit has been removed.

As you can see in the last image, the bottom right corner of the fascia is lifted as it wont fit in the correct location.

Okay I see what you mean, still looks pretty good though man.

Gonna be difficult to ammend that without a completely different plate, that fits better.

What are the measurements of the rectangle in the midle?(the cut out bit)
And which stereo did you go for?

Thanks dude, I'm not too sure on measurements. I'll check tomorrow and reply back to this post. It is indeed Carplay.

Headunit : Pioneer SPH-DA120.

I also installed the steering wheel controls harness, reverse parking sensors, reverse camera, microphone, fakra adapter. There was ALOT of wires. Had to strategically zip tie everything and push the wires as far back down as I could to get it to fit.
