Hi! bit of a long shot but this thread seems to be exactly what i need more info on.

My Biza is a 15 reg and i want to upgrade the head unit, the only issue i'm having is the stop start button.

I can relocate the rest but in doing so i seem to lose the stop start button? any help?

Can you post pictures of your current headunit with the button locations and the gear shifter location? The conversion I did was for my friends Seat Ibiza. He did not have heated seats or Start/Stop.

Post some pictures as it will help others also.

Here’s the pictures :) the start stop button I’m talking about is near the gear stick

Hi, I’ve been looking for a solution to same problem for some time now. One way I’ve came across this issue involves changing the centre console with a different one that has start-stop button located behind the 12V/cig lighter button. It’s difficult to get that console, and to me it’s not worth going to the extent of removing and fitting a whole different central console.

Please keep me updated if you do find another way.

Didn't have much luck... the places i've been too have no solution and i even went to Seat direct and they've never made the section of buttons near the gear knob with both stop start and the hazard light.

Bit of a sucker punch but it may still be worth upgrading if all we lose is the option to turn off the start stop system

Hi,

I have the same issue here. My OEM radio has broken, but I don't have the option of relocating switches to install double DIN as I have engine start/stop and the parking sensor button, which (as far as I know) can't be located near the gearstick.

My current plan is to install a single DIN touchscreen (Alpine ILX-F903D or Pioneer SPH-EVO82) using the faceplate 6J0858061B.

Does anyone know which is the best adapter to buy so that I retain my parking sensors on the screen and the steering remote. There seem to be some many and none make it clear!

Thanks,

Tom
