Paid fee to a broker/lease company on 15th June, ST 300 4Drive DSG, just called and no current update so I am following this with interest.

Which lease company was this? Most I have dealt with and have used don't charge anything till after delivery of the car.

Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, it was just their processing fee of £198. You are right that the big first bill normally arrives about 1 week after the vehicle is delivered. Worth mentioning this is a Business Contract Hire, so there are likely some differences to Personal type deals.

Ahhh, OK. Both times I've leased there were no processing fees so that makes sense.

I'm guessing the 290's are starting to be given build dates and the ST 300's are still waiting for the WLTP to be finished...

I ordered myine from Wessex Fleet on 28th Feb and still have no confirmed build date as yet.. Have tried calling Seat CS direct, but still have no idea either..

I asked Wessex to look at the Carbon as this is already in the UK aparently, but it came in at a little over £600per month with 9+35 on 12.500 miles... My ST 4Drive on order is £299.99!! quite a jump considering the RRP is less that £3k more..

The RRP is irrelevant to leasing costs. The discount the finance company gets from SEAT dictates what they can do it for, and they won't be getting any discount on a Carbon Edition.

I realise that Scrogg, but over the 3 years! That’s an additional £13,500...that’s a hell of a difference.. I was expecting a maybe an extra £70-100..

Hey-ho... just have to be patient... I’m guessing that IF the build week comes in at week 42-44 then delivery should be week 50 or so.. just in time for Christmas.. from a Feb order..

Just been told my April order for a Cupra 290 5 door has been delayed further from August to December delivery (still estimated) not waiting another 6 months without a car!

What are the other options our there currently though? As far as I can see there are none.

there's not a lot
Had a 4drive st on order from April. Originally told October but likely next year now. Happy to wait as there are no golf R deals around anywhere or any alternatives whatsoever. There is always the hope of another s4 deal like the one a few months back as I would prob jump ship for that if the offer came up again.

I ordered mine at the end of April with Oct delivery so I'm probably in the same boat as you

I ended up ordering a Golf R as wasn't prepared to wait 6+ months for a cupra. Ordered 10 Jun delivered 19 Jul. The upside is that I've had the 310. How lucky am I.

I’ve been reading this thread with interest for a while now. I ordered a Cupra 300 ST DSG desire Red at the beginning of Feb (exactly 6 months ago!) and still do not have a build date. Realistically, I know it’s going to be October at the earliest before I get it. The only thing stopping me from cancelling and getting something else is what I perceive to be an excellent deal on the car (cash purchase with almost 9k off list price). Hoping to keep the car for a number of years so I’m confident it will be worth the wait but it is testing my patience! It seems to be a lottery who gets their car built as there have been people ordering cars later than me but have already had delivery- they must be building in batches of either colour or spec- only logical explanation. I expect the pre-building of the carbon edition hasn’t helped those of us with ST’s in order either.

This is what I received
Hi Sean,

The dealership have informed us that unfortunately we were advised the wrong update for your vehicle showing due to arrive ‘mid august’. This is as the dealership did not update to reflect the information as advised your car will now be a MY19 build.

They have advised that your vehicle has not yet been allocated a build week and is in line with the email Alison sent 04/07/2018. Unfortunately they haven’t been able to provide us with an ETA update as of yet. The SEAT factory is closed until at least the second week of September so we would not expect any further news until this is reopened and the build schedules are confirmed.

However, we have been talking with the dealer and their best estimate is that we may see these vehicles December time.

So being interested in the recent updates people were getting I contacted CS directly (ahead of my scheduled fortnightly call from CS)

The agent I spoke with stated that there was no known update to the MY19 spec of the CUPRA 5dr DSG 300 other than the engine. (Inline with Scroggs postings so far)

He dismissed the winter pack being included which was mentioned in an earlier post.

He also went onto say that my order was transitioning to MY19 and retaining all the options which he listed and that I would have a confirmed build date by next week.

I know it can be a bit of a lottery depending on who you talk to at CS. So obviously taking some the information with a pinch of salt.

Seeing the updates people are putting on here, I was in the same boat last year for my Cupra.
Ordered in 2017 Nov', got my car delivered and collected from IMG End of March.

Was it worth the wait? Absolutely!
