Had a very busy day today, fitted the BCS Powervalve 100 cell downpipe. Had a lot of fun getting the original cat out, then making everything line up, then re fitting the clamp on the downpipe to the turbo, but eventually got it all on and aligned. The system definitely makes a much deeper sound now and when the valve opens on the Powervalve catback it makes a great noise! Stage 2 Apr map coming on Friday

How long did that take you?! Has it made any difference?

Hmm about 1,5 day and 24 cans of Heineken
Made a big difference, boot is much more quiet and doesn't sound like a big drum anymore :)
Doors close with nice soft pump, music sounds better etc. But getting those door panels off is a pain in the a**. :censored:
Next step probably will be the floor, hood, first fenders and after that I am afraid that I have to do ceiling also.

In a 184? Was it uphill, you should be getting that without trying.

I can barely get 48mpg at best of times and I drive the 1.4. I dont floor it everywhere, but I don’t like feather touch driving either unless I’m in robotic style traffic where the pace is set that you all travel the same speed.
That’s a very good feat.

I noticed today (after 11 months ownership) that my drivers door handle (inside) has a chrome effect around it as opposed to all the others that are black. Can only assume that it was replaced under warranty before I bought it.

That’s gonna annoy me for the next 3 years and 1 month!

Got 37.2 mpg on a 190ish mike trip consisting of m6, a14 (plenty of roadworks and slow traffic) with 2 adults, 2 kids and a boot full of crap.

Not so much a what I’ve done today, but what someone has done to my cupra.

One week into ownership and a van decided to change lanes into my car....

Is it just me or has the general driving standard completely gone to **** lately ?

Perhaps I watch out for it more being a motorcyclist - but some of the maneuvers I have seen lately are beyond belief.

I try not to think about it too much, at least retrospectively! I got overtaken the other day by an older gentleman in a Jag with his nearside wheels still in lane 1! Later veering all over the place. It's all gone crazy.

@Titchy - I hope you managed to get their details and they're good about sorting things out for you.

I literally said the same thing to people at work yesterday! Since the start of 2018, it’s like everyone has forgotten where their indicators are, don’t look in their mirrors and just Lane sweep with no care in the world!

And these people certainly don’t like being told that their new found driving style is sh*t. But I make it a game on the way into work to educate as many people as I can about their driving.

...politely of course :)

Drove the car back from work last night and it seems the tracking is out, the right hand suspension is creaking and the alloy is vibrating. Yay looks like the wheel alloy most of the accident.

A positive from this is if we all become mad max in the future fighting petrol the cupra alloys are brilliant at ripping the side wall off another wheel .

I had to buy two new centre caps as they popped out hitting potholes. Previously the kind parts department of my local dealer gave me a freebie but I had to pay for these. Only 13 quid though.
