Picking ours up tomorrow, saw it being put in the showroom this morning! :)

We've had loads of show, fed up of it now. Thankfully all the main roads are clear, just very very salty!!

Pics attached give an idea of the state of the roads here ha

Personally i would see if they can reschedule pick up. You'll be driving a new car, you're not entirely familiar with that you have waited months for. Last thing u would want to do is damage it on day 1!

I had thought about that and will see what it is like on Saturday. I am staying in London on Friday as I am going to a gig with some friends. I have a return train ticket if needed but as Ewen has said it will probably cost the best part of £100 for another train ticket the following week.

Mine's being delivered to my house tomorrow morning - delivery driver suggested 6.00am so that he can beat the snow on the way home. I don't even know if it's light at 6.00am  but having ordered it in September I don't really care what time it arrives.

Having checked the forecast it'll probably sit on the drive, unused, for a couple of days anyway.

Good look to everyone picking up their new shiny (for a very short period) motor.

The weather is dulling the excitement I was feeling for picking up my car on top of the fascist number plate issue.

I don't give my cars a name as a rule but I have already christened my new one FRanco after the Spanish fascist Dictator ;-).

Nice one Luke Got some photos, what sort of. Money was that ?

Yeah I’ve got some photos. Shall I post them here and spam everyone or PM you haha?

I got a good price because it’s my friends company but whatever the price it’s worth it in my opinion, to protect the paint etc.

SPAM away Luke, I don't think anyone on here will mind. You deserve to show off your car if not just for your efforts with the spreadsheet but because off your mammoth wait.

Also I want to see more pictures of the FR in mystery blue.

Just emailed dealer to delay pickup of my 18 plate.
Currently in Edinburgh is red warning of snow until the morning, school closed, council buildings closed workers were advised to head home before 3pm today.
It's a joke we can't handle a little snow really, took me 1 hour to do a 10 minute journey in the car the day during which I witnessed a Domino bumper to bumper pile up at the bottom of a steep hill. The lead vehicle stationary straddling a pedestrian island and a silly Uber driver attempting to ascend said hill and flailing badly.

Have you had your second email through from Matt about the finance docs? I feel like as it’s getting to the end of the week I should have had it by now. Surely they’re expecting me to pay the rest of my deposit?

Have you emailed the scanned signed documents? They were on my second email that I received last Friday.

Regarding the remainder of the deposit, Matt said (when I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago) that payment by debit card was OK on the day. It may be worth giving him a call tomorrow.

Sorry to everyone who doesn’t want to be spammed, but Carlosram, here you go.

Here’s what I had done:

New car protection detail

Including

- Wash/Decontamination
- Two Stage machine polish
- Interior carpets and over mats sealed
- Wheels Coated with Carbon Collective Platinum wheels
- Paintwork waxed with Britemax Vantage wax
- Windscreen sealed with Carbon Collective Platinum glass

By TKdetailing London

I was actually quite shocked by how much better it looked after. There was already swirl marks on the paint from when the dealer cleaned it.

Mine's arrived! Top work by the delivery driver, got here at 6. It's a bit cold out there.

Doesn't seem too different to my previous FR, but now comes with....illuminated FR logo on the sill plates! Result!

Bloody electronic handbrake will take some getting used to though, I hate it on my girlfriend's Golf.

Result there Rog, where abouts are you and is there much snow?, I wish mine could magically turn up this morning as well.

Your car looks stunning Luke. I had given it some serious consideration myself but I priced it up and was looking at about £600. I have been a bit of an amateur detailer in the past and have all the gear so am going to give my car a decontamination, clay bar, polish and wax protection as soon as I can. I have some Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour, so the wheels will be taken off and treated as well.

The money saved will go towards a new rear spoiler and side skirts.

I'm in south Oxfordshire, the delivery driver came from Newcastle yesterday, he's got three more drops + pick ups today before he can go home, poor guy.
No snow overnight, but it's coming down now, the car's covered in snow already so I can't even admire it out of the window. Good luck to everyone else!

Looks spot on, what's the maintenance schedule supposed to be on something like this?

I had the dealership gardex applied both externally and in the interior on my current Leon. They advised that I used products approx every quarter originally.

I have felt that it has made a difference, but would like something more substantial this time.
