I have Nav High MY 2016 with Full Link, Device pt no. same as your one, hardware H42, software 0319, Nav database V0395980122 ECE 2015/2016.
There are updates available, there is a guy on this forum who was selling them on Ebay and I believe the software version went up to 0818 and gave the latest look to the screen layout.

I have only just got the notification for this, don't know why!

This may mean that H42 can be updated to newer software but mine is H41, hardware?

I have both files 0330 & 0346, I copied them to the sandisk 64GB micro SD and the device doesn't see the SW. I tried while the files where in a folder, while the files where in root folder and still didn't work.
Any suggestions?

If you downloaded them from internet (I mean public share) I suggest not to install. You may lose functions or brick device. Files maybe corrupted or edited not sure the source of problem.

Let's say that I want to take the chance, how they should be on the SD card? is there a limitation to the SD card?

They're not both on there are they? Try the other SD slot?
330 first, then the other. Check back the way on this thread for more info.

I found my error, I tried to do the SW upgrade via regular menu and not long press menu.
Upgraded to 0330, cleared faults and upgraded to 0346, when I tired to verified menu and more the car shutdown due to low battery damn it!!
But basically it went good, what will happened if I won't solve the 1555 error?
P.s.
I have the 6.5'' with the MIB2:

Everything works fine, but I have the unit without the NAV but AFAIK that should be good as well.

BTW, can I update using a DOK or is an SD card a must?

Don't use DOK, it will cause an error.
ignore it, it won't show up again but you will need to connect via VagCom(VCDS) or OBDeleven to check if you have fault codes (probably fault 1555 which is to approve the SW upgrade)

You have an entry system which does not support update via sd card. It can be flashed by Odis Engineering tool by using flash files from erwin website.
