Well, still no news on my Cupra ordered 3rd week in October (originally they said April 20th), but my colleague who ordered a 1.8 FR at the end of September had been told last week in December delivery. They have confirmed today this has been delayed a month to end of January. Don't hold your breath anyone.

Did they say why it was so high? I was given 20 weeks for a FR 1.4 TSI ACT manual with no options, that was 2 weeks ago. Is the ST a longer wait? Or was it a particular option that pushed it up?
I remember that...
FR itself starts at 3 months
FR 18" rims +3 months (WTF!!! waiting time for rims??? are they crazy??)
1.4 ACT +2 months
Basically when they gave me information of 9 months, I lost interest in details..
They tried to convince me to buy some of already delivered car, but non of them has Beats audio (or at least Seat sound system), which is a must for me as I spend quite much time in the car. So not a way for me.

Another offered option was XCELLENCE
XCELLENCE starts at 2 months
1.4 ACT +2 months
So Xcellence can be delivered in 4 months, but..it is not an FR..

1.8l is not a way for me, I need to keep emissions below 131g/km (limit by company). 1.8l starts at 134g/km..

Last I heard standard 17" were a longer wait than 18". Unless you're talking about machined 18"?

Bit worried the 20 week estimate I was given is totally unrealistic... It was already about the limit of what I would accept.

EDIT - I suppose for me it would be 3 months for standard FR + 2 months for 1.4 ACT which is 5 months or 21 weeks, about what I expected.

Of around 5 weeks ago it was the stock 17's and just the machined 18's, also I am pretty sure that the DSG boxes are causing significant delays as the car in my signature took only 12 weeks but pretty much same spec cars with the DSG box have taken considerably longer.

Picked it up last night. Absolutely loving it. Got everything set up now including the logos for the DAB stations and the Android Auto. It's also got the illuminated FR logo on the sills which was unexpected. I'm sure there's plenty more to explore.

Looking forward to a milder day to give it a proper wash and dry

Looks nice mate, like the sills a lot, I'm a sucker for the little gimmicky touches.

Are those those the pre facelift optional 18s?

Where did you get the extra station logos? There's a few missing from my preset stations and it annoys me lol

These are the style 30/2 I think they are called - 18" and still available for the facelift but were also on the pre facelift.

When I ordered the 17's - which I don't like personally - were causing an extra delay to the build time. I like these, think they suit the car.

If you go to volkswagen.co.uk and in the search box search for sat Nav updates, select the 1st result, on the page that loads scroll past the sat Nav stuff and it will have a bit about radio station logos. I downloaded the file in the link to a usb stick and uploaded them through the usb port in the car. All very simple.

I am sure those are the 30/3 and not available pre facelift for UK, I only say that because I have them on mine, they are the cheapest 18 inch option @ just £250 but look lots better (IMO) than the 30/2.

So just gave SEAT UK a call and build week is now confirmed as Week 2 (from unconfirmed Wk1). Expecting Mid-february for delivery, so I will confirm with the dealer that I'll pick it up the first weekend of March so they can register it on the new 18 plate.

My dealer is 4 hours away by train lol

Update for your spreadsheet Luke.

My unconfirmed build week 9 2018 two weeks ago has miraculously turned into the vehicle being built and sitting waiting for a ship to sent to the UK.

Now i have a lease car until it goes back in February (extended the lease) and a new one which will be waiting for me on or around Xmas. Whats that phrases about buses?

According to my local dealer Milton Keynes if you order a basic Cupra now it will be 22 weeks max, which is around May time.

Hello all, sorry I am only just updating, it has been a busy few weeks.

After ordering in late-June and being messed around with build weeks as late as Week 9 2018 I had had enough and was ready to cancel.

My dealer, coincidence or not, found a similar spec car that had been ordered for stock and was 1 week from delivery.

My original order was 5dr 1.4 TSI 125bhp FR Technology in Boheme Purple, with a spare wheel. This order had Convenience Pack, Seat Sound and 18" alloys.

Rather than being messed around, I took the car despite a very slight price increase and collected on 11th November.

Pics are attached now that it's had its first clean. The wife's car so I haven't driven it too much but it was very comfortable on our 300 mile drive home from collecting in Gloucester.

Ah right cool, don't think these were an option when I spec'd mine up, only the newer multispokes (Not sure on spec number). Still looks good those. I agree about the 17s, not a great design and looks too small in the arches imo.

Cheers for the guide, I will take a look into it.

I got the 30/2 on ours as well. Were included in the seat motability deal on the 1.8 dsg which I didn't know at the time and had the money to pay for them!! Look much better than the 17s!!

So, finally picked he up today. Slight problem with the side blades, as they were damaged when they got them out the box, so the dealer has re-ordered some to be fitted next week. Still got the rear spoiler though.

Absolutely delighted with the car though. Looks good, drives great, a million miles better than the 1 Series I traded in.

Looks awesome, Jamie! My order is the same colour / alloys, so it's a sneak peek at what mine will look like!

I'm thinking of getting the alloys resprayed black and fitting black mirror caps to match my old Black Edition
