Our car is built and waiting at port to be loaded on a ship for transport. Hopefully not too long to wait now.

Mine is currently being offloaded from the ship in Tyne. Dealer said they can sit on it for up to 10 days before it gets put on a transporter to the dealership, so realistically, looking at collection around 3rd December.

Can you tell the date of the build week and the waiting port to be loaded? 1 week or 2 weeks after?

It was built week commencing 13th November. Once the car is loaded onto the boat it'll be another 3-4 weeks I think. Sorry I don't know which port its at. I'm in the UK so it may differ for other destinations.

I’m still unconfirmed build week 1, delivery week 4.

Reading some posts in here I’d be very surprised if it was delivered in 3 weeks, but chances are I’ll make the dealership keep it until March anyway and put it on an 18 plate

A Newbie reported that he'd ordered his new Cupra for July 2018. Such faith should not go without admiration! :snack:

Have the dealership agreed to do that?
I've asked IMG Warrington and they said it can't be done.

Does it really make that much difference? I can slightly understand if you are buying but there is literally no point to this on a PCH.

I live in Portugal and the factory is located at Martorell - Spain, my Dealer told me tuesday (21 November) the car is on production. I think the car go at train an not in ship.

How much time i need to wait for the car arrived at the dealer?

I have just ordered Seat Leon ST 1.2tsi SE Dynamic Technology in purple on a lease deal. I am waiting for a delivery date to be confirmed so at the moment I have no idea. Does anyone have the same model on order that could let me know how long you have been waiting? I'm hoping it will be Feb/March.

Check Luke's spreadsheet here for factory orders. Estimated build weeks are meaningless and change regularly. Some of us are looking at 6-7 month waits.

Lol. You guys need to seek out better dealers.

I only chose my spec and ordered 9 days before the boat docked.

13 days from paying a £100 deposit to driving away in a brand new car.

No way would I wait months and months, and with uncertainty over spec too!

You got an already built and shipped car. You only chose from what was already available, we could all do that but the choice is limited. The wait comes when you want something they haven't already made.

I just got lucky I did not know in advance, I chose a spec and ordered one. There happened to be the exact spec I wanted on the next ship.

I also got between 24% and 42% off my last 4 new cars by buying from stock.

That's great for you, proper dropped on the spec and amazing savings :D

I, and many others I'd imagine, just wish they built shed loads of Cupra 300's for stock in all variants and colours. Unfortunately it seems they don't want to sell many Cupra's in the UK  despite there being some what of a hot hatch renaissance here..... really makes you wonder what the SEAT UK sales strategy is.?....
