APRIL 2018 DELIVERY!

Damn not good, it just seems so inconsistent, my FR will be with me in a 13 week order to delivery time(ish) but others like me without the delay hugging engine's/options in some cases seem to be taking 6-10 weeks longer, I think I must have got lucky and they accidentally turned the order list upside down and mine appeared on the top one day.

Sometimes it depends whether there is one with your spec being built anyway. I was exceptionally lucky with mine and got one that was already on a build programme and I got mine in 8 weeks. This was when 17 plate was just out though so extended delays since then.

Still bad news my end. Rang SEAT UK hoping for some explanation as to why my build week had changed by 4 weeks, for the worse. They couldn't explain why, said that it's now unconfirmed week 46 but that it may change again and that I should expect the car end of Jan. I explained that their finance people had extended my PCP until the end of December because it should've been here then. Their answer, it's up to you if you want to cancel the order, but to talk to the dealer as they sold me the car.

So annoying to read that, I'm going to call on Monday for an update. We are losing current car as of November 1st with no option to extend it, so any delay at all is hurting, never mind the thought of going in to January.

Next week is Week 42 as far as I can tell, and we are supposed to receive confirmed build week 4 weeks in advance. So if you're Week 46 then it should be confirmed very soon!

I hate that their attitude is "cancel if you want", it was the same when I called Customer Services. Just shows they don't give a toss because there's a queue of people behind you with orders anyway.

Came so close to canceling my order today. Sick of seat now.

Went into the dealership to confirm the changes I wanted to make. Desire red with 18s, and the 1.8.

The build date I had was end of December. Due to the Catalonia crap its now end of Jan with a march delivery date. If I go ahead and make the changes, my build date changes to April with delivery two months after that!!!

Not sure how a regional referendum affects lead times? Forgive me if I am being stupid but am I missing something, I would have thought if they had the slightest chance of independence the first thing they should be looking at is production/manufacturing and their economy.

I’m very interested in the new Ibiza but also considering a Leon but no chance with current lead times I’d quite happily be up front with a dealer and say I’ll not be ordering until Seat sort themselves out if more people did this I’m sure they find a way around.

I think they are more sorted now except for the EcoTsi engine and the stock FR 17 inch rims, mine was built and physically in the UK inside of 12 weeks. That still does not excuse the huge delays with the Cupra though.

Just got an email saying my car is at a UK port. Anyone know roughly how long it takes from port to dealership?

Has anyone been dealing with Chris Clark at Arnold Clark SEAT? I spoke to him in early September to order my Cupra ST 4Drive, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him since, he isn't answering any emails! So tempted to cancel but not sure what else to go for...

Originally an unconfirmed build week of 44, that guys leaves the dealership, new point of contact now says unconfirmed week 48, SEAT UK say unconfirmed weeks 46! What is going on here!? I just need to know when I’m likely to take delivery.

Current car having already extended the PCP has to go back (or be part exchanged with the dealer) on 30th December, right in the middle of being away for Xmas!

I've practically given up asking until they tell me a confirmed date. Spoke to dealer yesterday, still unconfirmed Week 48 with delivery "before christmas"... I'll believe that when I see it.

I've tried sourcing an alternative, but I'm too late now to get a car sooner. Plus the deal I got was so good nothing comes close apart from a 3+23 lease Audi A4 1.4TFSI SE for £185/month, but even they are January delivery.

It's killing me, mine is at the dealers but I cannot have it until next week because I ordered through a broker which means it is delivered to me but next week is the first availability for a driver and they won't let me pick it up myself.

Nightmare!!!

I rang Seat UK today to see if I could chase my order myself (12th week since order this week!) and they have promised to get back to me tomorrow with an update.

I'm prepared to be reasonably patient - the dealer did estimate 22-24 weeks - but I'm going to see if they can do anything to push it through any faster. Wonder if I play the sympathy card if they'll do anything - my FR Black was stolen and this has been an agonising wait for a new car :(

Sorry mate, remind me when you ordered again please? Roughly same time as me wasn’t it?

To be honest I was quite content with week 44, it worked out nicely. However, giving the estimated delivery times of week 46 or 48 I’m getting frustrated as one means I’d need to get rid of my car before going away for Xmas and be without car, and one means getting rid of it whilst away and also having no car!

The difference lin information is the most annoyed thing.
