Well, they contacted me after I had a little rant on Twitter. There is a number to call for the main customer service department on their website 08 08 5 222 222, but I don't think this is the same office I spoke to.

Completely different to what I have found at the same dealer. I am trading in my Leon for a new ateca fr. I was informed of delays at the time of ordering that could be upto 6 months. I have had regular feedback on when my order was due and is being built this week and should have it 12 weeks after ordering.

Ordered a Leon FR 5 door 2.0 TDI 150ps in monsoon grey with a few options (18" performance alloys, leather interior, KESSY, Convenience Pack) on 8th July. Quoted at delivery on 9th December.

Once ordered at what points can you make adjustments to your order?
I ordered back in August but since then I've been running in an S3 with a good set of options and want to add them to my order.

My dealer has said that this is no longer possible,

Other than delaying my order further if it's not built shouldn't it be possible?

As far as I was aware an order could be changed without time penalty as long as it is done before a confirmed build week has been allocated, if your car has a confirmed build then that would be based on the options you have requested.

So we're saying a time penalty and not one of cost? That's a relief. I want to add a sunroof and seat sound.

Well if you add something to your original spec then the additions will cost but I don't think apart from that there is a financial penalty in changing the order and/or build date.

Yes I fully intend to pay for my extras :)
It's just that at the moment the dealership are acting as though they can't change my order now.

Thanks for the info mate

Well I've just had some horrible news from work.

Due to challenging times my work has cancelled all new company car orders which means no Leon FR for me :-(

I now have to pick from a reallocation list of people who've left the company and handed their company cars back.

I can hope but the chance is slim.

Leon FR has only been on our company car list since March this year. So they'd have had to order and return all in the space of 7 months and judging by the lead times that seems near impossible lol

Well I managed to get my order number from my dealership today so now I can chase Seat UK myself.

He also told me that at the time of ordering, the delays were:
Car 15-17 weeks
Wheels (18") 3 weeks
Summer shutdown 4 weeks

So 22-24 weeks from order which means I'm only half way there :(

Still a bit concerned that there isn't even a preliminary build week though.

Will call Seat tomorrow and see where we get

Still bad news my end. Rang SEAT UK hoping for some explanation as to why my build week had changed by 4 weeks, for the worse. They couldn't explain why, said that it's now unconfirmed week 46 but that it may change again and that I should expect the car end of Jan. I explained that their finance people had extended my PCP until the end of December because it should've been here then. Their answer, it's up to you if you want to cancel the order, but to talk to the dealer as they sold me the car.
