Disappointed to say the least

An update on the situation. I was meant to receive a call either yesterday or today from seat regarding a goodwill gesture however, no one has called and the call center is now shut.

Very disappointed again in Seat and it seems as if they are as useless as the dealer at customer service. I will have to give them a call myself tomorrow and see how that goes.

I have a feeling that with all the UK 1.4 EcoTsi orders for the new September reg they are being absolutely swamped with delay concerned calls, no excuse still for shabby customer service.

Not impressed by your dealer at all but stick with it, it will be worth it in the end

I have had nothing but great service from SEAT, let me know if you want the name of a couple of excellent dealers.

My dealer finally got back to me and has now said the car will be delivered between mid September or the end of September even though a week ago SEAT themselves told me it would be 8 weeks so I really don't know who to believe

SEAT have still not got back to me a week later which is unbelievable really, absolute joke of a company the way I have been treated, and that is after me emailing in another time. I will be giving them a call on Monday morning if no one gets back to me today.

I hope it will be worth the wait but if the dealer has lied to me about delivery dates I will go ballistic!:censored:

I contacted Seat directly and was told 8 weeks from build week. Dealer told me on the 15th of July my car had just left the factory for the ship yard. On the 22nd of July it arrived in the UK and it arrived at my dealership/and I collected on the 31st of July.

As mentioned Seat themselves told me 8weeks but my dealer assured me it should only be 3-4 weeks and it took 2 weeks and 2 days from leaving the factory to me driving it away. So there is still definitely hope you will get it when the dealer says. Hope this helps

Good to hear that! As mentioned in my first post I got the email from SEAT that the car was built on the 2nd of August and if you then add 8 weeks it is the end of September so I do hope the guy from SEAT meant 8 weeks from then and not from when he phoned me.

Though I'm still looking at trying to get something done as it is a 4th delay. But fingers crossed it should only be 4 weeks at the most!

Just read through from the start there and that is pretty shocking! Hopefully get it sooner rather than later but I would definitely think you're entitled to a good will/apology gesture of some kind!! Can't delay it that many times and expect customers to be happy about it, especially if the dealer isn't the best at communicating.

By Bishopbriggs I assume you are talking about the one on Royston road? That's the dealership I ordered through.

Yeah sorry that's the one I meant.
I got mine out the Linwood branch and never waited more than a day or two for a reply

Ohh if I could turn back time I would! :p I'm hoping things can only get better from here but time will tell if I ever get the car.

What model of the Leon do you have?

Fair point xD I wanted a DSG so only option was the 1.4 150 or 1.8. The insurance on the 1.8 was far too much for my liking.

Ordered a 1.4 125 fr today as was told the 150 act had expected 5-8 month wait period and couldn't be bothered to wait that long for a new car and the difference of torque is easily overcome in my opinion

An update on the situation is that SEAT are basically saying the car has been delayed but not delayed enough to fall into their procedures for a goodwill gesture  However, my dealer has offered me paint work protection and interior protection for my troubles which is better than nothing. The car should be arriving at the end of this month and if not I will be right back on the phone especially to SEAT to get an answer!
