Spark plugs

I have a Cupra 280 (2014) with Revo Stage 1, I have seen a number of post's about people using different spark plugs. Cant find any info as to why, could i please have feedback on what are the best ones and also why (I know dumb question) there is a difference between these plugs please.

standard plugs are fine on stage 1 when your on stage 2 I would drop in some rs7 plugs 06k905601m I ran these on stage 1 for a while too and could feel the difference immediately so much smoother they are 1 step colder plug with an iridium tip you can get them from Tps for about the same money as standard plugs. Am running NGK-R7437-9 there 2 steps colder as I have an Apr stage 2 Apr only recommend this plug and they cost £150 from Awesome gti.

1 was wrong about the rs7 plugs being 1 step colder than standard there the same heat range 7 you could use the NGK-R7437-8 they are 1 step colder.

For now I have nothing to do unless my garage tell me I need new plugs.

When i go to stage 2 next year I will make sure the garage tells me i need them and you have kindly given me a few good ones so I can make sure they are giving good advise.

I've ran stage 1 for some time now and will be going stage 2 next week. Ordered rs7 plugs aswell as I needed to change them anyway so just in time.
I will come back with a review next week, but from what I've read rs7 plugs is the way to go stage1 and up.

I would see what coil packs you have too mine where revision E I got new ones from TPS that where revision k PART NUMBER 06J-905-110K

For the simple guy like me what is the difference and impact of the different versions of coil packs please.

on the golf r forums there seems to be a few people having miss fires when tuned on stage 1 or 2 when plugged into vag com its coming from failed coil packs from early revision coil packs. changing to the latest revision k has fixed this with reports of some golf r s running over 600bhp without miss fires. if one is thinking about going stage 1 or even moving onto stage 2 I would change them to the new revision k coupled with new plugs like rs7 your covered on the ignition side for future tuning .

Hi All,

Im looking to change my sparks plug as Im going to carry out a full service on my car. I was wondering If I was to buy NGK ones from Euro car parts. Would I just need to buy one or multiple? Not sure how many is needed. As it's a 4 cylinder car Im guessing 4? So order 4x NGK ones from euro? Hope im making sense

If they're the correct plugs then, yeah, you need 4. I'd shop around though, ECP like to pretend they're cheap but can actually be eye-wateringly over-priced.
