What kind of MPG have you been getting, but then again if we was was worried about economy I'm sure we wouldn't have ordered a cupra lol

The last 81 miles have taken almost 8 hrs of driving at 18.8 mpg! But that's still far better than my RX8 which would manage about 9 mpg doing the same commute.
The joys of commuting in London.

Seems to me like 280 is the best buy now, its the cheapest. 290 doesnt offer nothing significant more than 280 version. Of course what I would really like is 4 wheel drive which only comes on 300 st and all this raises the price quite a bit, compared to golf r and audi s3 already. I suspect 300 version with 4 wheel drive wont sell that much so there wont be many used on offer like there is 280 models now.

Just had an email saying my car is on route, should be in the UK in 2 weeks. Anyone know how long it takes after that?

I guess on rough estimates mine will be on a 17 plate, unless I ask to wait until Sept 1st

Picking mine up from dealer on Monday after an 18 week wait
2 of which were on the forecourt due to delays at VWFS
Getting excited now
ST Mystery blue Manual
Buckets
Camera Pack
Connectivity Hub
And free KESSY due to a build error
Whoo hoo

Finally, some pics. (at the bottom)

Not the smoothest hand over. I flew back from Houston on Saturday morning, landed at 7.40 and then took a taxi home, quick shower and my wife drove me an hour to the dealer.

When i arrived i couldn't see the car, asked the reception and sales team who was looking after me and everyone said "not me". turns out if you lease a car and the car is ordered through Snows Southampton you get shocking care.

There lady who works in the lease team was still on her way in so i went and got a tea. i asked again if i could see my car, it was pouring down at this point but was told no, i don't know which is yours.

20 mins waiting and the lease lady arrives, she was very polite and said she would bring my car round.

so there I am waiting on in the dealer feeling somewhat unloved and my Cupra pulls up. it looks great, even in the pouring rain. the hand over was literally 30secs. Please sign this one piece of paper and here are your two keys.... that's it. so i have gone out and ordered their top of the range model and i'm treated like sh!t... nice one seat.

Anyway, at this point i'm just thankful i have the car. i walk out and it looks great. its pouring so i hop in, only 7 miles on the clock and it stinks of glue, my last VW new car had a lovely 'clean sheets' smell. A quick turn of the key and i can see half a tank of fuel and its been in Cupra mode.

The petrol station is just down the road literally 1 mins drive so i headed there for some Vpower. Whilst filling the chap next to me asked about the car and wanted a closer look. i explained i literally just picked it up but he said it looks fantastic.

my drive home was uneventful. wife was following in her little Ibiza Fr as she didn't know the way so i kept it in comfort and made the 40 miles home. it was a nice drive but a little firmer than i expected after coming from my Scirocco.

Yesterday was mine and the wife 1st year wedding anniversary, we took the Cupra with our little dog for a drive into the new forest for a picnic. The car cruised really nicely, i took it easy and kept it in comfort the whole way there. managed 34.2 mpg. outstanding.

on the way back i had a few little blips in Cupra mode but today i intend to open her up a bit. still wanting to take it easy for the first 1000 miles.

Anyway, some pics, sorry for the long post.....

Gorgeous colour! Wishing I'd gone for the estate now.
How come you didn't have it delivered to your home? Quite bad customer service from seat, it's still one of their cars.

Used Snows Southampton for a few years and have to say they are normally very good with customer service. Shame to hear you haven't had the same, like Upthere has said it's still one of their cars.

Love the colour and ST is definitely the best shape.
