Hey guys, so I've been trying to get my air bag light off for a while now, just wondering if you guys can help me tell me, what and where they need to go, I've tried 2.2 ohm and 4.7 ohm and nothing seems to be working
I can't upload pictures due to not having 15 posts so I will type them out

Airbags -
01218; Side airbag igniter; front passenger side (N200)
01217; side airbag igniter; front driver side (N199)
00655; Seat belt tensioner igniter; passenger side (N154)
00654; seat belt tensioner igniter; driver side (N153)
00589; Airbag ignition circuit 1 - passenger side (N131)

Please help guys

In my experience (on other cars), 2.2 ohm resistors usually work just fine.

Might sound like a silly question but after fitting the resistors, you are resetting the airbag light with diagnostic equipment aren't you? Or were you just expecting the airbag light to go out on it's own after simply fitting the resistors, because that won't happen.

I've tried clearing the codes with my Carista, but as when I rescan their all still there and the light on the dashboard.
I have been putting the resistor in the wires under the seat, or am I putting it in the wrong place do to it being the tensioner?

On other cars I've just used a 2.2 ohm terminating resistor in the underseat connectors. Admittedly I've never tried on any VAG cars because I've not had the need to.

I would need to look at the wiring diagram, but are you sure you're bridging the right 2 pins with the resistor, or are there only 2 pins in the connector?

I'm sure it putting it in the right pins, there's 3 pins, but going off what others have said on other forums and Facebook it's in the right ones, but the issue seems to be coming from the tensioner, so I'm wondering if me bridging the pins in the seats isn't doing anything because the problem isn't coming from there?

I'm a bit confused because you just said this (see the text I highlighted in bold red text)...

The original fault codes you posted are showing that you have faults codes on the side airbag airbag igniters N199 and N200 (the airbags located in the seats), that you have fault codes on each of the front seat-belt tensioner igniters N153 and N154, and that you also have a fault code on the passenger airbag N131 (located in the dashboard).

Are the same fault codes still showing or are you now only getting the N153 and N154 tensioner igniter fault codes?

Please can you post up what your current airbag fault codes are to avoid any confusion.
