So can anybody confirm whether or not the car should come with mats? I don't want to kick up a fuss if mine arrive with no mats when it should.

No mats in this day in age is a joke.

Not sure how often the boats are but I was build week 47 and told the boat was due to dock today.

I think I must have been week 47 as well (Original order 1st week in august) as my dealer sent an email on 28th saying it was in transit to the UK. Was hoping it would be able to be picked up this week but Im fairly sure that was a tad overoptimistic :)

On the car mats topic I got the dealer guy to add rubber mats and bootliner onto my upfront bill, cant stand fabric car mats they absorb everything!!

Usual Seat accessory price I think for them.

EDIT: Picking it up next Wednesday, woohoo!! (FYI thats 19 weeks from confirmation of order to pickup.....ouch!)

I'm sure if you went to a dealer to buy the car they would always throw the mats in as a gesture. My mate who works at Seat (only just started) believes they are an option but he is going to look into it/procure me a set.

To sum up i'm not quite sure but that hasn't stopped me kicking up a fuss which amounts to sending an email to my lease company to complain :handbags:

ps I'm loving the car!

I asked on another forum, seems cloth maths are indeed standard.

Yes should come with them. Mine were in there as standard, the car was ordered through a broker.

Wouldn't surprise me that they ran out of mats similarly to running out of paint colours

The lease company have got back to me and they have contacted the supplier to enquire whether or not they are standard although the replies in here suggest they are.

So my lease company has come back with the following:

'The supplier has come back to us and unfortunately the vehicle does not come with Car Mats.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards'

Does anyone have any proof that they are in fact standard or anything in writing regarding them? My email is [email protected] if anyone wants to send anything directly

Want to gather some evidence before getting back to them [:@]

Find a few Cupra 290's in stock on Autotrader, email the dealer asking if mats come as standard in the car.

Sounds like a 'we can't be bothered supplying them and have no idea why they're not in there' response.

I have just been through the whole brochure for the Leon and it doesnt even mention floor mats at all, not even as an option.

Might be worth giving SEAT customer service a call and asking them?

They didn't even bother. id call seat customer services, even though it was sourced from a lease company. They still got this from a dealer and they always throw them in. Why do I have them in mine, it definitely wasn't them just being kind!

I looked in the brochure and there is no mention of mats, only for the rubber ones in the cup holders on different models

What build week were you?

Build week 44. The original estimated delivery date was 16/12/16 so its only a couple of days early.

When they got the build week they said it might move to late Nov but that was the last i heard of that.

The broker is fleetprices.co.uk but the dealer is SEAT North Wales (Thats where the original finance call i had came from anyway) and its been registered there as well the start of the number plate is CY. My finance documents went to VW Warrington.

Its all part of the Sytner group so it will be interesting to see if thats where the car actually comes from, its a good 240 mile drive from here.
