Is it possible to replace the seats of my Leon mk3 with those from a Golf Mk7 or A3 Mk3 ?
also is it easy to do it yourself?

Finding the seats in my Leon mk3 very uncomfortable, was thinking of swapping the car for a golf/a3 but I am really happy with the rest of the car..

thanks for any info

According to the experts on crime watch they are interchangeable, especially the audi s ones ;)

But seriously, I would imagine so, although I've driven both the golf and the a3 and didn't notice much difference, although some of the audi ones look nicer

How long have you had the Leon, I've had a few and always found them uncomfortable, but after a few thousand miles the seat tends to mold to your body a bit and get more comfortable

starting to find my FR (leather) seats a bit hard after 28k miles and almost 3 years. My daughter's got a Golf Mk5 GT Sport, and her (leather) seats are WAY nicer than mine. I suppose that's one of the brand differentiators and where some of the extra cost goes....

I don't know what it is about my seats but I find them really comfortable (FR Alcantara) unless it's a 750 mile drive. When I drove to Germany, my shoulders and back were really aching. Luckily the shower in the hotel had a massage option

Apparently the Cupra buckets are comfortable

Personally I find them supportive but hard, I guess it's a bit like suspension, one persons hard is another person's soft, we're all different, maybe the op needs to try a few seats and see what he prefers, that's what I'd do :)

I have a mk2 with the standard bucket seats which look the same as the optional ones in the mk3.

I'm surprised that the bucket seats are not standard like they were in the mk2. I love my bucket seats, they can give you a numb bum after a very long journey but they're sooooo comfy, I can't imagine not having them. When or if I get the mk3, I'll be going for the buckets.

What seats do you currently have then that you're looking to get rid of?

They are the standard seats, but compared to the wifes polo the leon seems to have high sides and I can never get comfortable, must be the way I drive, cos she loves the leon and I prefer the polo! I've done about 10k and it hasn't changed.

will probably get some golf seats then if I can find any near by...

Thanks for the replies
