How much did that all set you back buddy, must be such a huge difference. I can imagine the excitement picking it up.

Yes I was excited as they had it for 5 weeks. Came to just over £6700, horsepower has gone from 225-350, but when its bedded in, will be more. Back in 2011 the car was pushing 276hp on revo stage 2 until the turbo developed a crack in it, which dropped it down to 226, as it could no longer hold high boost. Car is an absolutely animal now, last night I forgot I had TC turned off, coming out of a roundabout in 3rd, foot to the floor and the rev counter shot up as the wheels started spinning. Blew away a 400hp twin turbo Skyline, 4th to 6th gear pulls like a train.

Coilovers are on 12mm spacers on the front to clear the suspension, just need to get some 20mm spacers for rear. Will take a picture on my lunch break.

Did you manage to get any pics?

I'm changing my suspension tomorrow and think some spacers will be needed.

Ummed and ahhhed for a long time but finally put some reversing sensors on the car. It's only a hatchback but the slope of the screen meant it wasn't easy (for me at least) to judge. Not an issue anymore.

Have to be honest, driving mercs every day spoils you, all the cars we have at work seem to have reversing cameras now which means you tend to get a little lazy!

Fitted some H&R 35mm springs to sort out my suspected mish mash of springs!

I was correct..

Started this morning with this as my sitting height.

Here you can see the rear arch gap..

Took some measurements all round, using some tape as my datum.

Rear off side:

Front springs removed with dampers.. Pain in the arse getting them out!

Then I discovered my front springs aren't especially a matching pair..

Front all back together, started on the rears. Which is by far easier!

Comparison of old a new spring, I'm pretty sure the rear had the wrong springs fitted, think they are from a MK4 Golf..

Finished article, it'll need to settle over the next few days, haven't driven it yet so that's for later on.

I do need some new top mounts on the front pretty soon too.

I think it looks loads better, will get the wheels spaced out next and an alignment sorted.

So much better, hard to believe and even understand why and how someone would put a mix of springs on!

Yeah I know, the front didn't sit differently so they must have been a similar spring rate perhaps....

Just been for a drive, rides great and the body roll has been dramatically reduced.

I'm happy with the height, looks how it should have front factory!

They might just be standard Leon springs, which are probably the same as the Mk IV Golf as you say.

Previous owner probably had a broken spring at some point on one side and got it replaced at the MOT. I've had stuff replaced at a national chain (before I knew better) and the receipt was a mish mash of Golf and Audi A3 parts.

Yeah that's exactly what I thinks happened, the rears were pretty new so had been replaced.

The fronts being odd is... Odd though!

Still, at least it's sorted now.

Hi, did you fit the rear seat aswell?
I thought my cupra seats were ok. Never thought to do a swap. Might have to rob them out of the wife's mk4! Lol

Not today but over the past few days the FR has had 4 new Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 3 tyres fitted, replaced the nearside CV boot and steering rack boot so that it could have its MOT.
Air Con serviced and regassing.
Today I'm hoping to change the offside front door locking module and butyl seal all the doors.

Hi mate yeah swapped fronts and rears, the Cupra seats don't seem anywhere near as holding as these do and not only that the design looks a bit dated and shitty on the regular Cupra seats, plus these are the same style recaro in the LCR which are quite rare so it's an upgrade of sorts I suppose lol
