Took my sump of and gave it a clean plus my oil pick up pipe, and put two new handbrake cables on, now to finally get my oil catch can on the car haha
Had an oil pressure issue recently. I was overtaking a slow driver and booted it past him. Unfortunately the high revs proved too much for my LC and the dash promptly started beeping and flashing at me. I changed the oil filter, removed the sump and strainer and cleaned them. The strainer was properly caked, so a good wash out and a blow through with compressed air was in order. Those three 10mm screws on the sump next to the gearbox are an absolute a**e to fit. I recommend taping them to a socket with masking tape, offering them up slowly because if you drop them you'll get them stuck and you'll have to drop the sump again to get them out. Oil changed and a nice run out and a good boot full to get the revs up and as yet I have no recurrence. Fingers crossed!
Haha everyone has that problem, you need a long 10m socket and a very steady hand lol, did you hand tighten all the bolts then leave for an hour to let the selent cure, then tighten to 15nm torque on all bolts, mind check for leaks also.
I used a magnet when I couldn't get them out, try that next time, undo them till there about to fall out then put the magnet in and grab them, thinks there's some photos on the page before when I done mine
Bought a forge 007, direnza fmic, all the parts for a n249 bypass and sai delete, and a rear wiper delete bung.
Also got a b1 s1 lambda sensor that needs replacing
Bit of work to do in the coming days!
Any tips or tricks for any of these jobs would go down a treat
Yeh only one, good luck getting the rear plastic off the boot to take the wiper out. Prob the most impossible job on this car.
