Mk5 Ibiza Bulb List

Hi all,

I think my Ibiza might be a little different. It's a 14 plate 1.4 ACT FR Edition 5dr. Despite being a 5dr it only has 1 reverse(left) and 1 rear fog(right), they both sit in the same position in the opposite rear cluster. Both bulbs are identical in size/appearance, they look like the P21W, both white in a white cell, presumably theres a red lens in the fog light side as it does light up red.

Comparing to youtube videos, there is no bulb in the lower (rear fog light) slot on either side on mine, presumably its not wired and modding to 2 of each bulb would be a big job.

Just tried swapping my fog lights (HB4) on my pre face lift (2011) with some LED ones, and they through the bulb warning before I even switched them on.

Rear lights need canbus?

Just thinking about getting rear leds to replace all the bulbs i have in mk5 sport 2009, i had some problems with front leds which were canbus but came up with the errors, the company sent me out some resistors but i couldnt get to any wires to fix it! i put those lights in my rear unit and it works fine no errors, so does the rear unit need canbus or is this just luck?

Some lights don't need can bus leds, the ecu does not check them. I have reverse leds and they are fine, no errors, but i know thew brake light will throw an error.

Pardon me for being lazy and not go through all 7 pages, does anyone recommend any W16W LED bulbs for the reversing light for a 2009 3dr model?

Since my car has twin headlamps; would I have to buy 2 sets off a h7 bulb pack? Or is there a difference for high beam and low beam?

No difference unless you pick different styles (brighter, whiter etc). You will need 2 bulbs for the dipped and 2 bulbs for the main. So 4 bulbs in total.

Does anyone know if the indicator base is BAU5S or BA15S by any chance (offset or straight across bayonet). My car is not easily accessible at the minute and wanting to order some bulbs. Been on the reference guide / sticky and ordered all of the others but stuck at this one
