swapped mine over Thursday - just been out in the sleety snow at 2.5 degrees.

After spending the last 5 weeks in a sling, cast and splints I've been using my 'to do' list on the Leon for a bit of rehab and boredom therapy. In the last two days I've managed to:

* Remove the instrument binnacle and soundproof the rear of it. Mine rattled so badly that I just did the whole thing, including the drivers side dash vent. Ah, loads better!

* Fitted the interior light LED kit, which I bought from ledperf.com. No errors and only required resistors in the rear ceiling lights. Resistors are supplied with the kit. A very nice upgrade IMO.

* Replaced the stock rear indicators with Philips silver vision. Much more crisp and amber when flashing and the rear cluster no longer has the fried egg effect of an amber bulb under a clear lens.

All little jobs made harder by barely having a single working arm but satisfying nonetheless. Having not driven for 5 weeks it's been nice just to get in the car

To remove the binnacle, was it just a good tug that was needed to take it off or is it held on in more of a German way?

That's where I notice a lot of vibration when on a rough road ( which is more common than a smooth road up here ).

At the moment it's just a minor annoyance, but if there's a way to fix it, and it's do-able for amatuers,

could you do a video guide please ?

It's really easy, the surround just unclips and the unit that houses the dials is held in by a screw or 2 - remove this and add some padding behind it, rebuild. Job done.

Pirineos Grey , It may be called something else in other regions. There is also Technic grey which is more of a brown tint.

Sounds right. Note sure why it has a different name in Ireland, perhaps other markets too.
