Never mind - I'll sort something out one way or the other - perhaps a phone holder like FR2013 mentioned would do the job.

Thing is with Carplay I don't need to see the phone anymore - they should have the usb connector in the door bins or something!

Well I think that's what the slot is for, just designed for people with normal sized phones

I bought a short 1ft anger lightening cable off amazon so I don't have cable going everywhere when like you said I don't need to see the phone.

True I guess - I prefer the larger screen though - better for my ageing eyes.

Thought I'd add my 2p here. The ride is much better in the new FR on 17's than it was in my old FR on 17's. But I've got no other car to compare it to!

I'm coming from a seat Leon 2012 with 205-55-16 and the Ibiza is not as quiet and is slightly harsher but the build quality is slightly better

Indeed - but it's a bit much for just popping to the shops for a bottle of milk. Great for the kids though - even has separate aircon in the rear. Need to tint the rear windows though - has anyone tried tinting windows using the kits from eBay etc?
